Amazon.com sees delivery drones as future

NEW YORK (AP) — Amazon.com is working on a way to get packages to customers in 30 minutes or less — by drone.

Consider it the modern version of a pizza delivery boy, minus the boy.

Amazon.com said it's working on the so-called Prime Air unmanned aircraft project in its research and development labs. But the company says it will take years to advance the technology and for the Federal Aviation Administration to create the necessary rules and regulations.


Sounds expensive to me. But who knows, getting your stuff quick might be worth it.

I wish they would make those drones better looking, more futuristic. A lot of them just look like some kids made them in the backyard.

I want hyper supersonic superdrones! Like Batman would make them.

There is still alot of bugs to work out on this and it can only be done in rural areas, but it's cool.

When I read things like this, I had no doubts that my destiny AND choice is to die CHILDLESS

future society will be all about machines and people designing/building them, no room left for regular human beings

Better be a 360-degree-at-all-times camera that can see 300 or 400 yards away!

no need to shoot the drones down, one could easily EMP them out of the sky by setting unmanned electromagnetic pulse traps not that i'd ever do that actually, since it's wrong. all wrong

you would think autocorrect would make something more sensible out of that. I'm really annoyed with the one on the latest IOS, it changes things as you type, then changes things AFTER you've finished with it too.
