Doctor Who 50th Anniversay - "The Day Of The Doctor"

Feature length episode airing in 70 countries worldwide on the 23rd November, and at cinemas/movie theaters in 3D!!!!!

Features the return of David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor and Billie Piper as Rose, alongside Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor and Jenna Colemen as Clara. It also stars John Hurt as a mysterious "Other Doctor", who was shown at the season finale of the last season, and referred to as "The one who broke the promise". Speculation has him as a "Dark" doctor, perhaps between Paul McGann's Eigth Doctor and Christopher Eccleston's Ninth Doctor, and possibly the version of the Doctor that fought in the Time War that resulted in the double genocide of the Time Lords and the Daleks.

I'm so amped for this! Just bought my cinema ticket.

This special trailer was made and broadcast last week, and another trailer with actual footage from the episode will premiere tomorrow.

I think maybe he already did. River Song gave him all of her regeneration energy.

Also, it seems like John Hurt's "Doctor" might be a previously unseen Doctor in between Eighth and Ninth. Which would mean that Matt Smith is actually the twelfth doctor and not the Eleventh, although he still is referred to as Eleventh because, as he said when John Hurt appeared at the end of "The Name Of The Doctor":

The name you choose, it's like a promise you make. He's the one that broke the promise.

Since we already know that Matt Smith will regenerate into Peter Capaldi this Xmas, then that makes Peter Capaldi the thirteenth doctor. Possibly even the fourteenth, if you include Meta-Ten - when David Tennant partially regenerated, creating another version of himself who then went with Rose ito the alternate universe.

But there's also debate about whether the Second Doctor (Patrick Trougton) turning into Third Doctor (Jon Pertwee) really counts as a regeneration, since it was the Time Lords that forced his changing appearance when he was exiled to Earth.

There's many ways they could take it, really.
