Adam Levine Named People's Sexiest Man Alive for 2013

Well, it's good to know People magazine is on the same page as many Adam Levine admirers.

The mag officially announced today that they've named the Maroon 5 frontman as the 2013 Sexiest Man Alive , and although it may seem obvious to those of us who swoon over The Voice coach's rugged sex appeal, Levine admits he didn't see it coming.

"As a musician, you have fantasies that you want to win Grammys, but I didn't really think that this was on the table," the singer tells People in this week's cover story (hitting newsstands Friday). "I was just amazed and stunned and it almost seemed like they were kidding, but they weren't, so that's cool."

During his interview with the mag, the Los Angeles native also revealed that he cries at movies (especially E.T.), loves to be naked and is looking forward to settling down with his fiancée, Victoria's Secret model Behati Prinsloo (sorry, did you forget the Sexiest Man Alive is engaged?).

"I didn't think marriage was for me for a long time," he said. "I was ready when I was ready. That's about as simple as it could possibly be."

The rumor that the handsome rock star was going to snag the title began circling the Internet last week, but when asked about whether or not it was true, Levine kept playing coy, insisting that he knew "nothing."

And when asked by Today cohost Savannah Guthrie about possibly being short listed by the magazine, the 34-year-old offered a rather bashful response. "I don't believe you," he said, embarrassed. "It would be a lot of things. It's an interesting idea. I don't know."

I Will say that i absolutely despise this guy in every way. Women and men think he is the hottest thing ever... of course he is not ugly by any means.

But my sweet Buddha he has the most average white guy look. Shit i'm half white and if i focused more on cardio than lifting i could probably somewhat look like the fucker that's how average of a whitie he is.
And he is a typical LA Male i eat sushi, i have black friends look i'm not racists, look i like underground music despite my songs being top 40 ear eape, look i don't fuck bitches cause they bitches i fuck them cause i love women, i do yoga and eat yogurt, do my hair in the mirror for 3 hours, that bread better have come from the right factory, that milk better have no carbs type douche bag cum cuzzling tawt nozzle piece of shit.

Guns, this post is hilarious. Don't you guys remember that thread I posted a few months back saying how much I hated Maroon 5? I heard someone blasting one of their songs from their car radio the other day and was THIS close to screaming at them. I guess some people like being status quo and one dimensional.....man, this guy is proof positive that there are people in this world who thrive on luck and luck alone!

Meh, if people like the music that's whatever to me. But, i hate having to hear there songs everywhere. I mean at a restaurant, at the gas station, at the barber shop, at the grocery store. etc.

Okay I think the only way to heal from this tragic mistake by people magazine is for the rest of us to post our own "winner" of who the sexiest man alive is....so here's my vote for 2013:

He's definitely good looking, but something about him leaves me dry. Don't know what it is

well...Hes very talented and a true musician. His voice is on point just as much live or in the studio. Hes got an amazing band in Maroon 5.! extremely talented musicians. No "boy band" here..Adam is the real deal! and thats attractive! I like his look...except for when he was tryin to rock the mustache..eww

But hey...different strokes for different folks.

I also have been able to pick up on his personality in watching the voice and like his sense of humor and a lot of what he has to say. He gives constructive well put input.

I don't think he's ugly but I guess when I heard about him winning this I was shocked because I was thinking it would go to a guy who is a bit more of a hunk. But hey, you're right, everyone's got different taste. Just hope that Ryan Gosling finally gets is one year!!!!!

Adam is very attractive when he's not trying be be attractive... and when he's not singing. I find those tatts fairly ruinous, though.
