I have been so disappointed with TCM this month. It isn't enough that they've been doing horror movies every Friday night. Nooooo...they had to have Vincent Price as their Star of the Month, which has meant horror movies on Thursday nights, too. (I hate horror movies.) They've also continued their "History of Film" series on Mondays and Tuesdays, but have shown a mess of completely uninteresting films.

I haven't watched TCM less in one month since the channel started. disbelief

I love all the old horror films they play in October! I've been trying to record a lot of them to watch at more convenient times. Was hoping for a non-stop Hammer marathon. Stuff from that era is so much easier to watch than modern horror movies.

If you will, so will I

Its been a strange year for TCM programming to me. I guess they have to switch it up but I wasn't impressed with the 31 Days of Oscar or their Stars of the Month or under the Stars. Last year Boris Karloff was their Star of the Month for Oct / Halloween. Don't get me started on their crazy scheduling, major movies on a 2,3,4, in the morning.

I forget which channel...I caught the last part of it (after the guy is coerced to ask her to the prom).

I don't think that I've EVER seen the movie from beginning-to-end actually. Because, the scene where John Travolta gets a BJ in the car was NEW to me.

Yeah, they have done some weird programming this year. I mean...I understand not wanting to show the AFI Top 100 over and over. But they show a lot of awesome 1930s stuff during the day that I wish I could see in prime time (for example).

I'm not saying they shouldn't show horror movies in October. It just would have been nice if they had paced them better - and thrown those of us who aren't fans of the genre a bone here and there.

clapping worship I watched every one of them!! I adore Vincent Price. love I also loved the stories John Waters told about how Vincent inspired him as a child to make films. What a wonderful tribute!

As much as I've hated October, it looks like November will get off to a roaring start. They'll be doing screwball comedies on Friday nights. The first week's offerings (this Friday): It Happened One Night, His Girl Friday, Libeled Lady and Nothing Sacred. woot!

Nov and Dec TCM usually pull out the true gems. I never get tired of seeing "It Happened One Night". I have to check the TCM guide; I hope they air Auntie Mame.

I asked you a simple question! Do you love her?

YES! But don't hold that against me, I'm a little screwy myself!

lol
