I never said anything was offensive for *everyone*. There ARE things that are offensive TO ME in any and all circumstances.

But people will not usually know what offends me unless they ask. And I will not campaign to make what is offensive to me against the law or anything like that. I simply avoid or limit my exposure to it.

Of course, you have the right to say it. What I get to decide is whether I'm going to be offended or not. (I'm not because I don't care what you think of me.)

I don't know where you live, but in the United States, there's this thing called the First Amendment. That means that (with a few notable exceptions), Americans can say anything they want and be well within their rights.

Being deliberately offensive makes you a jackass, but there's no law against that.

I find this thread offensive.
