RE: Mother. . . . .Holy Smokes! The most evil person I've ever known. Hands down. If you only knew the depth of it. She even reached up from the grave to stab me in the heart worse than she ever did when she was alive (and when she was alive, it was pretty darn bad). And, the stabs keep coming. Learn something new about her every day. Sad but true. Very painful.

I have total control over my life because I follow the Lord. He guides my path. My family does not. I've known that I don't need them for many, many, many years. However, things still have to be dealt with as they arise. The truth needs to be spoken. It's the truth that sets us free. I don't have anything (very little) to do with my relatives. I haven't for years. However, I don't sweep crap under the rug where it can fester either. I speak the truth, address the elephant in the living room and then let it go. I'm not an avoider or an escape artist. I FACE THE MUSIC. The only person that's really in my life from my family is my aunt (my mother's identical twin sister). She too went through the same with my mother and she understands completely.

My godly friends in the Lord are my family and those that I will spend eternity with. They are the ones that matter to me (my eternal family * MARK 3:35). Blood does not matter to me. What's in the heart & mind does matter GREATLY to me.

However, I have been VERY, VERY blessed to find out information about many of my ancestors. Fascinating things have been uncovered.
