Ok... call me an asshole. But i have seen a lor friends post this recent on facebook. And i get it that it has a ''message'' but i have seen THOUSANDS of videos with guys saying the same thing (And i also see a million giffs on facebook about it as well)

I just find these videos silly there's always a ''nice christian guy'' trying to make ''all girls'' feel special but it comes off sounding forced. And maybe i am biased on this cause more than half the guys i know in my life who do this ''you're an angel, you're a princess, you're amazing'' talk to girls.. also cheat on them quickly.

So, what do you orgers think? is this video and others like it genuine? is the guy just trying to get girls to swoon over him? do you think he really means what he is projecting on stage?

He probably had good intentions, but as a woman it makes me cringe. It sounds like a teacher talking to his student. Man = teacher, woman = student who learns from the wise man.

Nah, but I actually agree with some of it. But this culture of everyone thinking they're a rare and beautiful snowflake like all the other rare and beautiful snowflakes has got to go. In general, I am not going to hate on a video that, while flawed, is celebrating Women and Girls.
There is so much negative shit projected at Woman and Girls, so while this is a bit over the top, I appricate the sentiment.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. So yes, every individual person is beautiful (to someone).

i know you are older than me and see me and Dave as just ''young people who see things as superficial'' but that is beyond bullshit.

I just find the notion that a woman's self-confidence is dependent on a man's approval and (lyrically blunt) delivery of random compliments to be cringe-worthy.

If there's a person you want to show some love, you can tell them directly and tell them why they are unique and beautiful (because they're like a diamond? Seriously?). It doesn't need a video of a man speaking the final truth, filmed on a stage with dramatic background music, addressing all women (as if they were all the same!).


What disgusts me the most about this video is its purpose. Why was this video filmed the way it was filmed? As I watched on it became obvious that the video maker cared much more about spreading christianity and advocating his religion, knowing it would sell better if he let hollywood inspire him (hence the overblown production).

I have no problem with people trying to spread their religion (it's in the nature of religion), as long as they leave me alone when I tell them to. In that sense this video is harmless. But the doctrine here becomes clear once he rambles on about God and how only because of him they are beautiful.

And there is absolutely nothing that accounts for "all people", neither women nor men. I find it sexist and superficial to generalise just because of someone's sex. I know a lot of men who are very respectful towards all people and have absolutely no prejudice against anyone. I know a lot of women who are bad people, not beautiful at all and not smart at all. And vice versa. So why generalise, as it's obviously not true?

That sounded like something from the end of a lame teen romantic comedy, where the girl is leaving town and the guy knocks on her door to try and talks a bunch of generic comlimentary crap.
