A motorist with his wife and baby daughter in his SUV was terrorized, chased down and assaulted by a gang of several dozen motorcyclists in a harrowing incident that began on the West Side Highway Sunday, police sources said.

The bikers were speeding and driving erratically in the northbound lanes when Alexian Lien, 33, called 911 to report them about 1:30 p.m.

The bikers then surrounded the Lien’s dark-colored Range Rover while it was heading north near 125th Street in Harlem, according to video captured by a camera apparently attached to a biker’s helmet.

One biker then pulled directly in front and slowed down, forcing the SUV to stop, and the others converged on the Range Rover, laying their bikes down on the pavement to block the vehicle.

The panicked dad then gunned the engine and ran over several bikes before speeding off with the pack in hot pursuit, police sources said Monday.

That's why I never go against using guns when it comes to bullshit like this. I'm sure some will come and say "oh not again!" But in this case? It's do or die.

Exactly.

Pretty scary video but it does not show them being "assaulted".

Is there more or was that it? If not, their vehicle was vandalized but no one was actually assaulted.

Is there such a charge of attempted assault? Also where is the rest of the story? Were the motorcyclists arrested? Charged?

I hate reporting like this. Basically it posts videos like this for the entertainment value.

After the video ends with them bashing the driver side window in, they pulled the driver out, and beat him up, also slashing him up with a knife. When police arrived, he was face down and bleeding... bikers gone. He wasn't critically iinjured. They've arrested at least two bikers.

They actually did...they dragged him out of the car and beat the crap out of him...

The pursuers finally catch the vehicle in stopped traffic on 178th Street in Washington Heights, where, the police said, the man is pulled out of his car and punched by several assailants. The man, identified as Alexian Lien of Lower Manhattan, was treated for facial lacerations and bruising at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and released, the police said; he was not charged. Mr. Lien and his wife did not respond to messages seeking comment.

The video stops just as the assault begins, with a motorcyclist smashing his helmet into the driver’s side window.

I read what was posted in this thread - which none of that was mentioned and I watched a video that showed nothing but a chase and some guys hitting the car. I did not see any pictures.

I don't give a fuck if you want to explain it or not. If you didn't see the link just say that. Stop being so damn defensive. The OP posted the link to the article which has the full video, pictures of the guy being surrounded on the ground, all of the information and you said you didn't see how this was assault.

The video definitely indicated assault. We can go on and on about what wasn't shown but it happened.
