Superfriends 40th Anniversary Thread

Last Sunday marked the 40th anniversary of the Superfriends TV series! Come post and comment on your fave episodes and heroes of this incredible TV show!

Superfriends sucked ass. At least in the 60's DC cartoons heroes actually fought the villains. The Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure was my shit. Thanks to these yenta PTA groups, Saturday mornings went from kick-ass fun to PC garbage.

I used to watch it every Saturday morning. I used to love the earlier years that had the Wonder Twins. I hated that it came on so early in the morning in those early years though. It was like 7 a.m. and that's early as hell for a Saturday.

...and yet my brother and I would wake up early and try to quietly sneak past my parents' room to go to the living room and turn on the TV to watch cartoons!

batman At the time Green Lantern and the others were far off fighting Darkseid. Once the Legion of Doom was formed Green Lantern (As well as Flash/Hawkman/Samurai/Black Vulcan/Apacheif) stayed back on Earth.
