TODAY is International Talk Like a Pirate Day.

It's the only day of the year you can get away with running around with a patch over your eye shouting 'Ahoy, matey!' - and using these pick-up lines.

So get your best Captain Jack Sparrow impersonations ready and arm yourself with these beauties, which we've pulled together in celebration of all things swashbuckling...

Oooooooooooeeeeeeeee, barnacles are so icky. They give me the creeps especially when there are lots and lots of them. nod eek shake
