Hocus Pocus? When did this Disney's Movie become a thing? Buzzfeed is all over it and suddenly my tumblr dashboard is vomiting gifs of this movie. I only saw it once and thought it was god awful and not even in so bad its camp kinda of way. I don't get it.

Whilst I have no idea about the "buzz" it gets these days, I have heard it has become something of a cult film now. Lord knows why. Disney never seemed to put much effort into it at the time but there you go LOL.

I loved it so much and couldn't stop watching it when it aired on pay per view in 94 after the theatre release. Was always excited to watch it when it came on TV again since
It makes sense now if you look back why it's a cult film. Sarah Jessica Parker is in it, the mom had madonnas iconic cone bra, zombies, grunge styles and how ridiculous they got. I still haven't forgotten "this is ice"  oh and the female actress went on to star in Ghost World which is also considered a cult hit and based on a comic

I caught abit of it on tv recently and infact, it's not too bad. Obviously aimed at kids, its fun and hammy, even if the story to me seemed to of fizzled out in the final third.
The special effects looked OK too. Heck, Sarah Jessica Parker looked kinda cute in it LOL | |
