I remember reading somewhere once... (to go slightly further into the topic of animal cruelty) about the butchering of dogs for their noses... (somewhere where its considered a delicacy) These people lured the dogs to them and once again because of their trusting nature they were fooled... the had their main arteries cut and their noses taken from them whilst they were still living... when you think of them... it makes you wonder how cruel and barbaric some people can be... how they can take pleasure in mutilating animals or indeed people.. well this is kinda right the reason why the dogs noses are cut off is because they are killed by professional dog catchers and the nose is necessary for payment it is sad but the dogs are killed because there are too many strays and packs of wild dogs roaming city streets is way dangerous ..  Dont be nasty about dogs, they are lovely and very loyal, my dog even still loved my dad even though he ran over her nose with his car...em...was it 4 times? 
P.S. My dad also ran over my sister when she was 3, but not over her nose...

I purchased a stun gun about 6 years ago after a woman was abducted in the parking lot of the mall where I was working and later killed. I also carried mace. However, the stun gun just made me feel uneasy and I really didn't like keeping it on me. I kept thinking in the back of my mind what if I accidentally hit the switch and stuned myself. Needless to stay I didn't keep it very long. I do have a Louisville slugger that I keep at home. I've never had to use it thank God. I love Corvallis. Like it way better than Eugene (eugene looked horribly depressing in the winter time and had it's fair share of weirdos, for someone who grew up in sunny OZ). My gf just arrived here in Sydney from Portland (on exchange from PSU) about 2 weeks ago! happy to say she LOVES it here. i hope you get to move to Oregon! me and my gf might live there one day if not here. .
