Summer Workout Process

Alright so i have officially been body building 6 months and been back on my hardcore workout routine for a year and a half now!

This summer was busy as hell for me but i worked out almost everyday! and i worked out hard! lots of heavy weights, lots of hardcore cardio, lots of running etc.

I hit my goal of 220ibs on bench and currently at 250
i can get 1,000 calories on the stairs at full speed in just half an hour
I got to 350 on squats
And 230 on incline.

Just as a refrence to take you on this joruney again to where i am now.

This is me in 2008

So yeah i have not hit my BIG goal yet but i hit all the little ones so that is good! i am feeling confident, strong, happy etc. And with my 6'5 demeanor i now stand up straight and don't have an arch in my back when i walk! i walk tall every fucking day baby smile

Thanks for anyone who read this and saw the journey but it is not over! it still has just begun.

i'm back into the weights in a big way... it improves my life in many ways when i'm working out regularly

It really depends honestly! whether i want to workout legs, chest, back, triceps etc.

For legs i usually do leg press and i can do 650 on leg press! i got strong legs smile but somedays i go for more intensity so i will do lower weights maybe in the 300's. I also will do cardio to usually the stair master going at 20 for an hour.

For triceps i usually start with tricep dips on the bench, the pulldowns which i have learned are probably the best for triceps!, the overhead cable tricep, and the tricep kickback with dumbbells.

For shoulders i do barbell shoulder press at least 4 sets, pushups, squats, one-arm lateral raises.

For chest i do dumbbell bench press, dumbbell flyes, Chest press machine (I can go all the way down to 240 which is the highest it goes at the gym i go to.) and dips as well!

For good cardio the stair master as mentioned is the BEST way to lose fat and strengthen legs... as i showed once i lost over 2,000 calories on that thing.

Also a lot and i mean A LOT of deadlifting! that is helping me with strength.

Also another workout i HIGHLY reccomend for strength is taking 2 45 ib plates and putting them on your chest! then walking with them for 5 minutes. Take a rest and do it for another 5 min...

Then get like 50-90 ib dumbbells and walk with those for 5 minutes! my trainer taught me those and you will feel like a train hit you after lol

so what days do you do what on?

Honestly, it really depends on how i feel the day of or night before.

But i try to do anything muscle related on monday, wendsday, thursday. And then tuesday, friday, saturday etc. Are all hardcore cardio days.

7 miles a day, 5x a week, 10+ miles on saturdays.. Ive done many 1/2 marathons and have won 1st place in my age group 2x in 2 different 5ks one of which was a mud/trail run... biggrin

Sundays used to be my day off, but we bought bikes and ride 20-40 miles every sunday..
