Would-be robber shot, killed by Domino's pizza driver

I'd say this is exactly what he deserved.

Would-be robber shot, killed by Domino's pizza driver

Investigators say a Brevard County pizza delivery man took action into his own hands -- shooting and killing a would-be robber.

Investigators said Byron Park, a Domino's employee, had just delivered a pizza to one of the rooms at the Days Inn off US-192 near Interstate 95.

Park, 54, went back to his car, sat down and starting counting his money and tip, waiting for his next call for a delivery.

That’s when investigators said 32-year-old Fredrick Kelly Jr. approached him with a knife, demanding money and threatening to kill him.

Park pulled out his firearm and fired once toward Kelly, who was struck and pronounced dead at the scene.

Good thing the pizza delivery driver had protection on him. clapping

However, because of Domino's Pizza's no armed drivers policy, that dude knows that he will (or has already been) fired. sad And lets be clear that all pizza delivery clains have this policy within their respected companies.

Recently, a Pizza Hut delivery driver was shot and killed in Newark, so right on Mr. Park. Maybe these dudes should be armed if they have to enter high-risk areas.

In the southern cities like New Orleans, Little Rock, Atlanta and others, high-risk areas are the hoods and the trailer parks without enough nightlights, if any at all. Pizza chains do not make deliveries there after 8pm. The projects & the ghettoes gets no deliveries at any time, period.

You should try and shoot to kill somebody once. See how you feel then.

Oh and by the way, you don't have a clue what really happened. All you are doing is going by some story.

OK, and if some deranged person was threatening someone, you expect me to just watch and not do nothing? OK.

Should I expect you to grab a gun and shoot them point blank then?

There is a lot options, a lot of 'grey', between the black and white of 'doing nothing' and 'shoot to kill'.

I am sure you agree with that.

As a matter of fact, isn't that what it's all about? Even on the Syria matter, it's the same principles.

And there I see you saying that you do not even want to do shit, even when somebody is GASSING thousands of innocent people.

But yeah okay sure, that's not your "street", not your "block", not your "neighboorhood", nor your "city", or your"state", and like hell not your "country".

Kelly was brandishing a weapon threatening to kill someone and got himself shot. I have no sympathy for a piece of shit like that who had a lengthy arrest record for similar violent crimes. If he behaved himself he'd be alive today.

True, because the US is more lenient, when it comes to gun laws, especially in the south. Go to the sporting goods section of Walmart, and you would see people buying guns, 9mm and shotgun ammos all day long.

I'm pretty sure in Canada, the Domino's driver who shot the person would do time for using excessive defensive force or some shit.

maybe there were other options to defend himself, it's scary people have guns with them and decide who is going to die. How far can you go? if somebody threatens you to smack your face you kill him? Is that justified?

We don't know excately what happened but we do know somebody got killed.

Domino's driver would not have been packing a gun.
