The voice of Batman has always been ridiculous, especially in the last two Batman movies, but can you imagine Ben Affleck trying that style of voice?

Batman has to change his voice so that he's not recognized as Bruce Wayne. It's pretty hard to do in a movie and not come off sounding ridiculous I admit, but that's the reasoning for it.

It's ridicuous that they expect us to believe Lucius Fox can create all those crazy gadgets and vehicles but he can't add a voice-modulator to the costume.

The Bat voice is one of the glaring reasons I'm not a big fan of Nolan's "ultra realistic" universe. It's a solution looking for a problem. Yes, we know Bruce and Batman shouldn't have the same voice. But it's easy to suspend our disbelief and ignore that fact (another example: a pair of glasses preventing people from noticing Superman is really Clark Kent). Those are quaint comic book tropes that don't need to be "fixed." Once he realized Bale couldn't pull off the voice changing without sounding ridiculously unintelligible (unlike the masterful Kevin Conroy, the one true Batman actor), Nolan should've just scrapped that idea.

I don't get everyone's problem with Affleck being Batman? He's a pretty good actor, and he made a good Daredevil :-l

We'll discuss it over Health Tonics.

I thought Ben Affleck is now removed from the role

You're reading too many celebrity gossip websites. He's not going anywhere.

Only read 1 heading

As I said in reply #85, Daredevil was my favourite comic as a young kid. The movie was a huge disappointment, but it wasn't because of Ben Affleck.

The movie starts out strong... good writing and direction, plot development. After about 20-30 minutes, it all seems to fall apart at the seams. The direction falls apart especially.

I never liked Affleck before, but he's come a long way. His portrayal of George Reeves in 'Hollywoodland' was astounding.

I think he'd make a great Batman... especially as Bruce Wayne (where Christian Bale failed miserably).

Hopefully, he does a better job with Batman's voice than Cristian Bale.

You make a good point. The Dark Knight Trilogy would have been better if Bruce Wayne/Batman just talked normally.
