What are your quirks?

I get very talkative when I'm tired. I don't know why I do it, but I do. My oldest son does the same thing. When he was little he would be talking up a storm and suddenly get quiet in the middle of a sentence, and I'd look over at him and he'd be sound asleep.

Today, I picked my kids up from school, and I guess I am pretty tired and was pretty talkative, and when we got in the apartment, my 9 year old daughter started running her hand along my back. I said, "Cara? What are you doing!?" And ever so sweetly, with just that touch of innocence a 9 year old girl can summon, she said, "I'm looking for the off switch." BRAT!

i hump stuff i like... it can be anything from a guitar to a new appliance... i just start grindin' on it... it's only ever a problem if i'm in public

I have to be on time for everything or it ruins my day/afternoon/evening.

LOL - I bet you don't get out much, especially if you are surrounded by things you like.

Ahh, beautiful lady, time is but an illusion. But yeah, I like to be on time, too. It doesn't ruin my day/afternoon/evening if I'm not, but I do try to be punctual regardless.

Hmm...

* Clutter messes with my head. I often find myself organizing coworkers' desks or straightening displays and merchandise at retail stores.

* Don't !@#% with my neck, or someone's gonna get hurt.

* Lately, everything in my dopp kit must be "natural" and look as if it were produced, say, pre-1940s.

* I really dig other peoples' showers. (Unless their washroom is dirty or disorganized.)

* I simply cannot tolerate the sounds of another person's digestion. If I can hear someone chewing, or their stomach churning, much less them farting or pooping, I must drown it out with another sound or vacate the area altogether.

* I go through obsessive phases. Right now my entire life is Provencal decor, Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap, fiddle leaf fig trees, 20th-century African American expats in France and finding the perfect toothpaste (which, of course, must be natural and packaged such that it looks pre-1940s).

Re: clutter - You wanna come over and play? I haven't been able to de-clutter for the past two weeks, working way too much, and staring at it now is giving me head ache.

Re: neck - Ohhh, I love having my neck messed with. Soft kisses, slight touches of the tongue, light, gentle touches......*sigh* There is a draw back to being single.

I was thinking about this... then it hit me when I saw a FB udate of my cousin saying she is going to see her God son.

I have no God children, no one saw fit to make me a God mother of their child. Guess folks see me as pretty un-reliable. But I would like to think I was there when folks needed me. Sorta makes me think of all the people in my life who have no confidence in me...

with their kids anyways... ah, its just as well.... fuck them.
