Clone Meat / Invitro Beef!

The clone meat is happening! Can only imagine the outcome of this project for the future. What about the farmers? There is MORE than enough meat to feed the world and still people are starving. Scientist playing God. It's not good.http://culturedbeef.net/http://www.nbcnews.com/science/its-not-alive-franken-meat-lurches-lab-frying-pan-6C10835458

Is this about the first test tube burger. Grown from stem cells taken from the shoulder of a cow, no slaughter necessary, no fat. Weird, weird, weird. But in 30 years who knows.

I am willing to try it! Why not? I can imagine a super tinder steak...but no fat? the fat is the best part! I can imagine a marbling machine that will let us insert fat cells into the meat!

or as I said: a printer that makes it on the spot "Hey Ralph what do you want for dinner?" "I want some giraffe" "Oh Man my Giraffe cartage is out... we have beaver, mongoose, or kangaroo" "Oh i guess Kangaroo" (I imagine it will be like soda stream. Where we will be able to pick the meat we want to make).... and in a few minutes a nice kangaroo steak comes out...

As a Star Trek baby, the attitude of food has been on my mind of late. We didn't think the concept of a replicator was a bad thing because it seemed so far away in the imagination, but it's interesting on how big of a deal such a things role has a possiblity of playing itself out if not within our lifetime then within our children's. I think our attitude about what is food will evolve, we're being forced into it now. Farming is no longer the center piece of our culture as it use to be. We want to cling to the old way as if it were the only correct way, but can we really?

for sure. And the idea that we could someday (soon) be able to make (print) the cells from basic chemicals is on the way as well.

this is just the beginning. If one thinks it is weird or gross now... just wait.
