He always appeared in the offbeat type of movies that I enjoyed seeing.

However, he knows the score. He has had 3 movies, if I am counting correctly, that did not make back the money spent on them and that right there is a big RED LIGHT.

Producers have no reason to keep paying him the big money. He also needs to step away from the spotlight for a while before even his biggest fans become a bit sick of him.

Someone has already mentioned Disney. All I could think of was how the Divine M's coolness took a nosedive after pairing up with Disney and never really recovered.

Ya'll crazy-Johnny Depp is one of the best actors to ever do it! His ability to completely make a character come to life is some of the best acting I've seen. Let him take a break, but he'll be back.
