Today is the day where everyone in the UK stops being miserable farts and gets off there butts and do something good for once. We walk around with silly red noses, hair all different colours, dress up, we sponsor each other and act like fools and don’t bother as everyone is doing the same thing.
Every school, work place joins in. So you lot get off your butt’s do something good and have great fun with it. smile

About Red Nose Day

Red Nose Day is a UK-wide fundraising event organised by Comic Relief every two years which culminates in a night of extraordinary comedy and moving documentary films. It's the biggest TV fundraising event in the UK calendar. On Red Nose Day everyone in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland is encouraged to cast inhibitions aside, put on a red nose, and do something a little bit silly to raise money - celebrities included. It is an event that unites the entire nation in trying to make a difference to the lives of thousands of individuals facing terrible injustice or living in abject poverty.
We they do
•raising money from the general public by actively involving them in events and projects that are innovative and fun.
•informing, educating, raising awareness and promoting social change.
•allocating the funds we raise in a responsible and effective way to a wide range of charities which we select after careful research.
•ensuring that our Red Nose Day fundraising costs are covered by sponsorship in cash or in kind so that every penny raised goes to charity

Why Comic Relief (Red Nose Day)

Comic Relief was set up by comedians and uses comedy and laughter to get serious messages across, as well as making sure that everyone can have some fun at the same time. Over the years, more than 2050 celebrities have given their time and talent to Comic Relief, you name 'em, they've helped us. From Lenny Henry, Billy Connolly, John Cleese and Jerry Springer to Johnny Depp, Ali G, robbie Williams, Steve Coogan, Paul Whitehouse, Whoopi Goldberg and Woody Allen. Top comedy teams who've given us a lorry-loads of laughs while helping us raise a lot of cash.

Since 1985 Comic Relief has raised more than £250 million from 8 Red Nose Days and other events including Sport Relief in 2001.
Every single project they support is helping poor and disadvantaged people in the UK, Africa or the world's poorest countries to turn their lives around and make positive changes in their communities.

There was a young lady who was totally exhausted from a week's worth of work. Finally, it was time for her to end her work day and go home.

As she entered the elevator, she sighed a triumphant,
"T-G-I-F...," and began to relish the thought of going home and relaxing the weekend away.

It so happened that there was a man on the elevator with her and heard her jubilant exclamation.

His reply to her was, "S-H-I-T."

Now the woman was not sure if she head the man correctly and she was determined not to let this man ruin her beaustiful weekend she had ahead of her, so she stated more strongly "T-G-I-F!" and glared at the man, daring him to repeat his obscenity.

The man made eye contact and stated matter-of-factly,
"S-H-I-T."

This infuriated the young woman, so with hands on her hips she stated, "Hare dare you use profane language like that in front of a lady! I was saying..."T-G-I-F!" "Thank Goodness it's Friday." What's wrong with you?

The man was amused at her outrage and with a smirk on his face replied, "S-H-I-T." "Sorry Honey...it's THURSDAY!"

And with that walked off the elevator with a spunky step.

'A man walks in2 a pub with a pie on his head. He says 'Pint of lager please'. The barman obliges but asks the man, 'why on earth do U have a pie on ur head?'. The man looks smug and says 'aha! I always where a pie on my head on Thursdays.' Puzzled, the barman replies 'yes. but 2day is Friday'. The man replies, 'oh, I bet I look a right knobhead'.!

Personally I think this is the best day of the year. I always get a buzz on this day. It’s better than a birthday or Christmas because no matter how hard you try and kid yourself there is always materialistic gain. However today is really all about giving and having fun. There is still time to do something, even if you simply make a donation no matter how large or small, or get a friend or relative or loved one to make a donation in exchange for a favour. Even if you only do something small, do something.

REDFEATHERS

A married woman is having an affair. Whenever her lover comes over, she puts her nine year old son in the closet.
One day the woman hears a car in the driveway and puts her lover in the closet, as well.
Inside the closet, the little boy says, "It's dark in here, isn't it?"
"Yes it is," the man replies.
"You wanna buy a baseball?" the little boy asks.
"No thanks," the man replies.
"I think you do want to buy a baseball," the little extortionist continues.
"OK. How much?" the man replies after considering the position he was in.
"Twenty-five dollars," the little boy replies.
"TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS?!" the man repeats. "That's awful expensive", but because of the position he was in agreed to the price.
The following week, the lover is visiting the woman again when she hears a car in the driveway and, again, places her lover in the closet with her little boy.
"It's dark in here, isn't it?" the boy starts off.
"Yes it is," replies the man.
"Wanna buy a baseball glove?" the little boy asks.
"OK. How much?" the hiding lover responds, acknowledging his dis-advantage.
"Fifty dollars," the boy replies and the transaction is completed.
The next weekend, the little boy's father says, "Hey, son. Go get your ball and glove and we'll play some catch."
"I can't. I sold them," replies the little boy.
"How much did you get for them?" asks the father, expecting to hear the profit in terms of lizards and candy.
"Seventy-five dollars," the little boy says.
"SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLARS?! That's thievery! I'm taking you to the church right now. You must confess your sin and ask for forgiveness," the father explains as he hauls the child away.
At the church, the little boy goes into the confessional, draws the curtain, sits down, and says "It's dark in here, isn't it?"
"Don't you start that crap in here," the priest says.

lol

We had to get dressed up at work and make a donation for Comic Relief, the theme was 'Footballer Fans' but seeing as though I work for a sports company but I am NOT a football fan so all us girls got dressed up as 'Footballers Wives' from the tv programme with props and a back drop, needless to say we won the competition cos all the sad bastards downstairs just wore a football shirt, and scarf! Sheesh!!!

We were way more sexy than them, I think the judge made his decision in the toilet.. jerkoff
