Anyone see that Richard Pryor documentary?

I was visiting someone last night and came across a Richard Pryor documentary on TV.

It was very informative. I'm not even sure who made the doc or what channel it was on as I'm not familiar with the TV package this person had.

Has anyone else seen this?

you mean....richard pryor-omit the logic....I saw it last night too and it showed a lot of negativity in his life and was very sad. they said that the script for purple rain was presented to him and he thought it was great but jim brown was like "its not an all black crew" and turned it down. I always thought that richard pryor was hilarious but I dont like jim brown at all and glad that pryor fired his ass....

It's pretty good. I finally saw Mel Brooks' segments last night, and it sounds like he backed off of some of the wilder stories he told about Richard during their collabo on the making of Blazing Saddles. Brooks' commentary on the anniversary DVD is enlightening.
