The Period Thread

You know I was just thinking, How come when a group of women all live in one house hold start there period around the same time? Or if you've been working around a group of women, they tend to start there periods around the same time to?

I think this is some deep stuff, cuz is like as women we all are connected to each other in some sort of biological way. That's why I think we need to stop hating each other, and being jealous of one another cuz you know we're all sisters smile Anyways

Do any of you have any information about this? Why is it that women of the same household tend to start there periods around the same time?

It is because of one of the very few known funtional human pheromones, the luteal regulator pheromone. It is a hormone that is excreted from the undearm sweat of women... the women will regulate to the cycle of the "dominant" female.

and it also let the men know when women were in fertile stages

anthropologists have proven that the cycles of women being regulated by the dominate female helped to perpetuate the human race without exerting too much energy on reproduction
