True Blood Season 6 ep 7 "In the Evening"

I think my numbering has gotten wonky. The last couple of weeks I've made my threads quickly. ( whew My numbering has been correct, I checked.) I double checked and this is episode 7. Including tonight's episode there are 4 episodes left this season.

"Eric makes a last-ditch attempt to save Nora by pledging allegiance to Bill; Sam ignores Alcide’s warning and returns to Bon Temps; Sarah vows to get revenge on Jason; Jessica shows her gratitude to a fellow prisoner."

Gotta say, I can't wait to see Sarah Newlin go batshit crazy!

Well pretty much a filler episode, and given a shortened season I really don't need to waste 12 minutes watching Nora die, when the writers havent fleshed out her character or really her relationship with Eric to care bout her death. But we got to see Eric in a Wig.

The Jessica and James relationship was also really rushed, I was hoping that the writers would have slow burned that and spent time building their relationship next season.

I also really dont need to watch an insurance agent show up next week and try to disclaim the 2 million policy but I guess you got to give the humans something to do.

Billith.....well, Billith.

OMG! Only 3 episodes left. disbelief

Pam, Pam, PAM!!!! I freaking love that VampBitch!!!!

I cannot wait until somebody drains Sarah and she will be drained because she'd enjoy being a vampire entirely too much to be turned. I want her drained dry! lol

Eric!!! OMG!!! ERIC!!!! I'm kind of pissed that Billith already took care of the Governor. lol

Sookie's a ho'!

Poor, Jason! Poor, poor, Jason! disbelief

Has Tara had 5 whole minutes of screen time, the entire season? confuse

Sam, the werewolves and the chick from Eve's Bayou are a complete waste of show!

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

nod I had only one question after the episode ended: Who the fuck is writing this bullshit?

I could give a rats ass about Nora and her slow dying death. Though Eric was moving, I was confused as hell as to how he was so connected to her emotionally. That little flashback still didn't show me. I mean yes, I know they are vamp bro/sis but I haven't seen him this upset since Godric was getting ready to die the true death. I would have thought that Eric would have felt that intense emotion about Pam. But then again, whoever is writing this shit....

Secondly, what in the hell is going on with Jessica and Jason's relationship? The end of last season Jessica seemed hurt by Jason's rejection, this season he's admitted his love for her and has seemed to forgive her...only for her to reject him to screw a vamp she's only known for 5 minutes just because he stood up for her. confuse HUH? Again, who the fuck is writing this shit?

So Bilith goes to offer his condolenses to Andy and Arlene...then grabs Sookie so that she can fetch Warlow and Sookie gives him shit? Since when does the almighty Bilith have to ask a human to fetch his faerie/vamp progeny? You would think with Bilith's special powers (especially since he's now day walking) to find faerie land and fetch Warlow himself. But again, whoever is writing this shit....

The whole Sam screwing the chick in the shower (and that was a weak sex scene, sorry) only for her and mommy to get captured by the wolf pack and then Alcide getting called out...totally confused by the purpose of that shit. It was a waste of air time. That and the whole discovery that Terry left Arlene and the kids a 6 billion dollar insurance policy after planning his own death. Wow, I'm so interested in that. rolleyes

This should really had been the last season. Just my two cents. The show has gotten way too weak for me.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I had a thought about the Terry/Arlene storyline. When Terry was asking his Marine buddy to shoot him, the guy said no until he saw Arlene, then he got this look on his face.

*

I think this look is about the insurance $$. I think the dude is gonna come after Arlene either blackmail-y, because he asked Terry if she knew about Terry killing Patric and Terry said yes, OR he's going to come at her all sweep-her-off-her-feet-y and try to romance the money out from under her.

While normally, I'd be pissed because...ugh...storyline...I think in this case it would be GREAT! Arlene is rather Merlotte's-centric. It could bring the group BACK to Merlotte's which was a fantastic dynamic in earlier storylines and something the show-runners have been talking about doing.

Does anyone on the show, or anyone who writes, directs, or appears on the show, remember how Warlow kept appearing and threatening Sookie at the end of the last season? Because everyone seems to have forgotten that.

It's like the whole staff has completely lost track of the show they're working on and decided to start another (incredibly boring) show.

Godric should never have showed up after suffering the true death. It makes no sense to keep seeing him. It renders the true death meaningless.

It's a True Blood thing. He's only in one book, "Living Dead in Dallas," and once he dies, he's gone.

In the books Godric is not Eric's Maker. He's a very ancient vampire who goes to the Fellowship to meet the sun. He fed on children, which as feeding & sex go together with vampires, he raped them to. He knew he was a monster and he knew that he would never change, so he stopped feeding and went to the Fellowship. That said, he is one of my favorite characters in the entire series.
