I will believe it when I see it.

DC vehicles have always operated in a vacuum. Rarely - save for a stray reference to Metropolis in the worst of the Batman movies -- have they EVER opened the door for expanded universes. It's baffling.

In a post-Avengers film industry, (and tho I really liked Man of Steel) it's beyond laughable that General Zod would show up to destroy the earth and recent film heroes Green Lantern and Batman would do nothing. It's also kind of weird that Bane threatens Gotham with nukes and Clark Kent doesn't even THINK about doing anything to help.

But If they break this wall down, then Justice League will have to follow.

I guess WB figures Disney's got Episode VII and Avengers 2 in 2015; they need a tentpole to counteract that.

I'm not hopeful it will be good but I will go see it all the same. If it happens.

batman It's because of the union.

batman It had to due with the fact that the Legion of Doom picked Solomon Grundy and Bizarro as their spoke persons.

That's a problem with pretty much every comic book story, though. Any time any villain threatens the world in a comic book, you have to wonder why only one particular hero or team notices and fights.

True. It is a flaw, but collaborations are quite common among heroes, if not teams.

But the Marvel movies are similar. Why didn't Iron Man help out Spider-Man? Why don't the X-Men get aid from other superheroes?

Somewhat similar, but as I highlighted above, post-Avengers, the question becomes pronounced. The majority of Marvel vehicles have been premised on uniting the Avengers since Iron Man. And DC/WB have been woefully behind on that front; Justice League projects have been discussed since Batman Begins.

The point was, Marvel's success with The Avengers only highlights DC's inability or unwillingness to unite heroes traditionally united with or against each other.

Remember, Marvel doesn't have the movie rights to all their characters. That's why you won't see an X-Men/Avengers crossover. Same with Spider-man.

True, but that's what was keeping DC from making a Justice League movie for so long too. Their licenses are all over the place.
