I'll pass too. Only because Christian Bale will not be in it.

You two are crazy.
A scene like this in a movie? Awesome.

hmmm...you know, this could work and I'm actually EXCITED
if this project had been done in the 90s it would have been PURE EMBARRASSING/STUPID CRAP
but nowadays Hollywood as finally downplayed the cheese/tongue-in-check factors when it comes to superhero movies... |

Why are Batman and Superman at odds with each other? 99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment |

Superman and Batman's relationship is usually presented in extremes. Either they are best friends, or they are two heroes who grudgingly tolerate each other. In the latter scenario, Superman usually sees Batman as a vigilante who is too violent and out of control in his methods; Batman sees Superman as a pawn of the U.S. government who just does their bidding. But even though they fight, they still like and trust each other. For example, after that scene that I posted from The Dark Knight Returns, Superman lets Batman get away. So even when they fight, they don't really fight.

couldn't superman just really kill batman like 100 different ways if he wanted to--burn him to a crisp, freeze him to death, take him into outer space and leave him...punch him in his face...etc |

In theory, but Superman doesn't kill. He could do all those same things to the Hulk.

Oh, who cares. Enough with these superhero movies. They're all the same, over the top, overhyped, CGI, muddled messes.
And I know, I know. They make millons of dollars and the fanboys love them, etc. etc. But to me, it's the same story over and over again, just with different costumes.

Speaking of fapping, I can't wait to see this shit. It'll blow TriStar's 'Fakezilla' out of the water.

Excuse me, but unless this movie is marketed as SUPERMAN/BATMAN, it just isn't right.

I have read the treatment/outline:
it is about batman getting payback on superman for not taking 20 seconds out of his time to fly over to Gotham capture Bain and throw the bomb into the Sun. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!" |

They do, but not as much as being flown.
Really, I respect The Batman but there is just nothing that trumps being able to fly. |

I will believe it when I see it.
DC vehicles have always operated in a vacuum. Rarely - save for a stray reference to Metropolis in the worst of the Batman movies -- have they EVER opened the door for expanded universes. It's baffling.
In a post-Avengers film industry, (and tho I really liked Man of Steel) it's beyond laughable that General Zod would show up to destroy the earth and recent film heroes Green Lantern and Batman would do nothing. It's also kind of weird that Bane threatens Gotham with nukes and Clark Kent doesn't even THINK about doing anything to help.
But If they break this wall down, then Justice League will have to follow.
I guess WB figures Disney's got Episode VII and Avengers 2 in 2015; they need a tentpole to counteract that.
I'm not hopeful it will be good but I will go see it all the same. If it happens. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

That's a problem with pretty much every comic book story, though. Any time any villain threatens the world in a comic book, you have to wonder why only one particular hero or team notices and fights.
But the Marvel movies are similar. Why didn't Iron Man help out Spider-Man? Why don't the X-Men get aid from other superheroes?
