A warning and perhaps a fine would have sufficed, I see no need for dispatching 10 police officers to shut down something as harmless as this.

In my opinion this resembles a police-state like behaviour.

exactly...they obviously knew that it wasn't allowed, did it anyway....pushed the issue after being told to stop "vending", they could have given away lemonade all day with no issue...they wanted the scene they created...freedom & liberties are wonderful things but grade A idiots like these tarnish and abuse those liberites

They knew good and well they could not just randomly set up a lemonade stand in front of the United States Capitol. They needed a vendors permit, which they did not have. If their statement was about "liberating lemons" as they said, they could and should have given the lemonade away for free. One of the officers even says that on camera.

They knew they were wrong and would be arrested. That's what they wanted and that's what happened.

Not to mention Health Code Violations. Personally I wouldnt eat or drink anything that has been handled by a 10 year old. No matter how adorable they are being.

it wasn't even homemade... they should have been arrested for that!

that being said...they were wrong and got treated as such

the sign was wrong. it said 10 cups for 1 cent... now that is a bargan!

they were told several times to shut it down they refused.
