I'm Lakers 4 life,
I aint eve mad Howard left us
we'll be able to really rebuild our team next year
we'll be ready then....
Kobe is still the best player in the league when it absolutely counts, he didn't joined forces w/another top 5 player and top 10 player to form a superteam
Lebron james teaming up w/Dwayne Wade never should have been allowed by the league
the greatest shortcut in professional sports history

So what did Dwight Howard just do. Throw rankings out the equation as he probably was considered a top 15 player. He signed up to play with Kobe as well as Steve Nash and what did it earn them an eigth seed in the West. Should the league have allowed that? Don't laugh at my funk

It would be so easy to reach below the belt concerning the drama queen Mr. Howard but his selection makes sense. LA is rebuilding and a man in his prime... doesn't want to lose he basketball youth waiting for the Lakers to retool. Timing is everything...

Howard was traded to the Lakers, a move initiated by management
management have been making trades for top players and everyone else for decades
that's what general managers are called to do..make moves to imprve the team....
I'm not disappointed, we won 5 championships in 10 years...teams that were built thru draft, trades, and key acquisitions....Lakers will rebuild once again
Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh colluded and knew they were going to join forces 2 years before they did it and the NBA brought forth this current Miami Heat team because they've been wanting Lebron James to be the face of the NBA since he's been in the league
they been trying to push Kobe out the door since 2008 and what's crazy, Kobe is STILL the #1 followed player internationally....
the Heat gutted out 3/4 of their roster months before the 2010 free agency period would begin to sign those 3 guys
NO TEAM has ever done that before, because they knew these 3 guys were going to play for them
collusion written all over it and it will harm the league for years to come, because "joining forces" has created unfair competitive advantage...and the basketball public are so "shocked" they are winning......it's called cheating and the refs have been bailing them out w/bogus calls and non-calls for the past 3 years....and their collusion has caused other guys to become ring chasers, frontrunning to get easy rings....
just imagine if Michael Jordan would have called up Magic Johnson and Larry Bird, or Isiah Thomas and Dominque Wilkins to join forces.....why even play the games.......

Hey, at least y'all didn't have to wait around all day for a press conference, to hear the news in front of the whole country.
[Edited 7/6/13 12:02pm] I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

As a long time Lakers fan i never agreed with the Howard trade. Glad to see he is gone.
No way he is worth a max contract for a below average player on the offensive end. It would not be so bad if he could hang on to the ball. This is a player you cannot count on in crunch time. And his career up to this point has shown that. [Edited 7/6/13 15:29pm]

[Edited 7/6/13 6:44am] Okay it was collusion when the Heat did it but anyone can join the lakers roster and its okay. What if David Stern wouldn't have nixed the Chris Paul deal to the Lakers? Would the lakers fans have been okay with that. The Heat didn't start this. This has been going on for years. It just didn't come with the level of attention that the Heat got. Drexler joined forces with Olajuwon to win a title. Barkley and Pippen did so after Drexler. KG joined Pierce and Ray Allen in Boston after initially rejecting them. Karl Malone and Gary Payton went ring chasing with Shaq and Kobe in LA. Funny how all this leads back to LA. Don't laugh at my funk

THANK YOU, PHUNK!
Amazing.....cats are still bitching about LeBron. He was a FREE AGENT - as such, he can pick and choose where he wants to work like the rest of us.....jesus. Bad for the league? Look at the ratings for Game 7.....shit, the NBA is loving this.
And IMO, I think what the Spurs did (tanking a season to get Tim Duncan) was a lot worse than this 'collusion'.
As for Dwight, I'm pretty sure his main reason for leaving was Mike D'Antoni, who knows noting about coaching big men or defense. He's a gimmick coach. I saw enough of him in NY.
Hopefully Dwight will grow up, listen to McHale and play like a fucking man. [Edited 7/6/13 20:17pm]

big difference with CP3, CP3 was traded and the deal was agreed upon by the 3 teams involved...LAKERS, HORNETS, and ROCKETS.....
me personally, I'm glad Gasol remained a Laker but it was foul the way the trade was nixed, that's never ever been done before...
there was no collusion involved....but STERN nixed that trade on purpose because he wanted to protect his prized interest and investment...THE MIAMI HEAT...
Stern, the league brought this team forth to make Lebron James the face of the league.....wait until that book comes out...
Drexler DID NOT join forces with Olajuwon, he was traded to the Rockets for Otis Thorpe midway thru the 94-95 season.....
Pippen wanted more money than what the Bulls were giving him so he agreed to a sign and trade to go to the Houston Rockets, and plus the main reason why he was traded to begin with was because Bulls GM Jerry Krause wanted to bust up the team to rebuild around Toni Kukoc (which familed miserably).....
KG was traded to the Boston Celtics after representing the Minnesota Timberwolves for well over 10 seasons....
yeah, Malone and Payton went ringchasing, but they were at the very tail end of their careers, almost 8 years past their respective absolute primes......
Lebron, Wade, and Bosh began colluding as early as the 2008 olympics, almost 2 years before they joined forces....that's why Lebron made the announcement his last playing in Cleveland he was no longer going to wear the #23 because he knew he was headed to Miami all along, for he knew Miami had retired the #23 jersey in honor of MIchael Jordan....these 3 guys joined forces in their primes and afficionados are trying to push Lebron past Jordan and Kobe, circumventing the fact he took the all time greatest shortcut to a superstar winning in the history of professional sports
and this move is going to destroy the NBA in the future because other superstars will try and do the same thing, which will hurt the competitive balance throughout the league......and it's already happening......
