2 70-hour breaks (excluding game time) between Games 1 and 2 and Games 4 and 5. There are a lot of old or injured legs on both sides who will really need that rest.

The NBA Finals

Game 1

San Antonio Spurs 92 Miami Heat 88

The biggest question coming into tonight's opening game of the NBA Finals was whether the 10 day layoff for the San Antonio Spurs would be a blessing for the aging stars of the team, or would they come out rusty. As it turned out, the Spurs looked like they hadn't lost a step. Neverthless, the Miami Heat led for most of this game, yet neither team would have a huge advantage until the fourth quarter. The stars for each team played good games, with Tim Duncan scoring 20 points and grabbing 14 rebounds, Manu Ginobili scoring 13 points, Danny Green scoring 12 points, and Kawhi Leonard scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Lebron James had a triple double, scoring 18 points, grabbing 18 rebounds, and dishing out 10 assists, while Dwyane Wade scored 17 points, and Chris Bosh and Ray Allen each added 13 points.

But it was the Spurs defense in the fourth quarter that would determine the outcome of this game. The Spurs would hold the Heat to five for 18 shooting on the court in that quarter while also forcing five turnovers. They were also led by Tony Parker, who scored 10 of his 21 points in the quarter, including an improbable jumper as the shot clock expired with just 5.2 seconds remaining in the game after nearly turning the ball over twice. That shot would seal the victory for the Spurs, who now have won seven straight games and 13 of 14 games this postseason.

San Antonio leads series 1-0.

Spurs take Game 1 thanks to Tony Parker and some HELLAFIED fourth quarter defense. Heat were 5-18 with 5 turnovers.

Love me some Spurs biggrin biggrin biggrin They closed out as usual and even when they were rusty as hell and missed a bunch of open shots. Just imagine if they had hit all those shots. eek It would have been 100 points on the board. This is not Indiana and this most definitly is not Thunder. Miami better watch out because the rust is out now... biggrin

Parker is one hell of a great player. I don't think I saw him force dribble into a single double team last night. 2 play an entire Finals game without a turnover is unreal. This guy is CLEARLY the best PG in the NBA and has been 4 quite a while. Maybe now folks will wake up 2 the FACT!

The Spurs have had a devil of a time getting to the Finals since 2007.

But when they do, they are awfully hard to beat.

Tony Parker, an MVP candidate, was stellar; even if he hadn't made that potluck supper shot, he was the dominant player on the floor.

Big Fundy himself, Tim Duncan, simply owned whoever they threw at him. 15 years later, his footwork and all-around production continue to amaze.

The Spurs put on a clinic last night, and it was still close . . . credit to the defending champs.

The Heat were simply outmuscled and befuddled in spots. Bosh HAS to be able to operate inside of 15 feet. Wade looked more energetic, but the supporting cast and the bigs simply got outplayed. Missed FTs helped seal their fate.

But it was a heavyweight bout last night, and I hope for 5-6 games just like it.

The NBA Finals

Game 2

San Antonio Spurs 84 Miami Heat 103

This game was a close affair through much of the game, and the Spurs kept Lebron James in check, limiting him to just 17 points in the game. Danny Green was on fire early, as he led the Spurs wth 17 points while Gary Neal scored 10 points off the bench. The Spurs led by one point with 3:16 remaining in the third quarter.

And then the Heat exploded.

Miami was actually led by their supporting cast. Mario Chalmers lit up in the fourth quarter. He led all scorers with 19 points, and they also got huge buckets from Ray Allen, who scored 13 points, Mike Miller, who scored nine points on three 3 pointers, and Chris Andersen, who scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds off the bench. The Spurs uncharacteristically turned the ball over in the fourth quarter, and the Heat took advantage, jumping out to a 26 point lead late in the game. Tim Duncan was limited to just nine points in the game, and Tony Parker was limited to 13 points on five for 14 shooting from the court. Despite this loss, the Suprs head home for three straight games with home court advantage.

Series tied at 1-1.

Spurs played like ass - too many turnovers. Manu was awful.

LeBron struggled offensively, but he did everything else, and his supporting cast responded.Sick block on Splitter.

The Spurs played very good in the first half and the game was either tied or the Spurs were leading. The ending of the 3rd quarter is when Miami made a run and Spurs started to turn over the ball.

I think SanAn did what they came to do Thursday and retreated on Sunday when they got hit with that barrage. They wanted to save those old/hurt legs for a push in Game 3.

The NBA Finals

Game 3

Miami Heat 77 San Antonio Spurs 113

Wow! eek omg omfg shocked What can be said about this game other than the Spurs completely froze out the Heat thanks to a blizzard of 3 pointers. And they were led by the unlikeliest of heroes, Danny Green and Gary Neal. Green led all scorers with 27 points including shooting 7 for 9 from behind the 3 point line, and Neal scored 24 points in 25 minutes including shooting 6 for 10 from behind the 3 point line. Though the Spurs controlled the game from the start, Miami did make a couple of runs in the first half to get within a point just before halftime, but a fast break after a Lebron James miss led to a Gary Neal 3 point shot at the end of the second quarter. Lebron James almost singlehandedly tried to keep the Heat in the game in the third quarter after the Spurs expanded the lead to 21 points, scoring nine of his 15 points at the end of the third quarter, but a Gary Neal assist at the end of the quarter led to a Tiago Splitter dunk with just .1 second left. Dwayne Wade led the Heat with 16 points while Mike Miller scored 15 points off the bench on five for five 3 point shooting, but they never had a chance to get back by the time the fourth quarter started.

On a more potentially serious note, Tony Parker injured his ankle in the third quarter and was taken back to the locker room to have it taped, but thanks to the huge lead was not needed back in the game. However, his status for the next game is uncertain.

San Antonio leads series 2-1.

James is tentative this series. But Magic had bad Finals after winning 2 titles. LBJ's numbers in these Finals are eerly similar to Magic's numbers in the 83 Finals. http://en.wikipedia.org/w...te_note-56 Magic also had a bad Finals in 1984. Magic then helped lead the Lakers to 3 of the next

4 titles (and may have won another in '89 had he and Byron Scott not been knocked out by injuries).

Point is, James may not be Jordan, but that's okay. He could still be Magic, even if it doesn't happen for him this year.

It kills me how people attack LeBron like he's the most vile player to ever
play the game. Just because he had a press conference announcing where he was gonna play and taking advantage of his marketing opportunities half the damn world have lost their mind with hate. lol and it's not that serious. The dude just play basketball for a living. It is terrible on Facebook. lol I just wanted to see James win a couple of titles so people would get a damn life. I'm a Tim Duncan fan to so if the Heat lost this series to the Spurs it wouldn't be the end of the world. Tim Duncan is the classiest guy in the league. Who the hell compares James to Jordan besides Bulls fans(half of whom probably weren't before he arrived). In fact I know a few who cheered the Bulls now are cheering for the Heat now. I don't compare any of today's players to past players. It's pointless but the NBA didn't start with Jordan nor did it end with him.

No. People attack him because his an asshole. Also, while he is a good player he is NO WHERE on Jordans calibar and he doesnt have 7 rings and he ISNT going to get 7 rings. So the comparisions are annoying. The whole Decision shit was bashed because of HOW he did it. STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR HIM. It has nothing to do with him leaving Cleaveland. It was HOW he did it. If he had left Cleaveland in a more classier and mature way he would have not gotten the bash that he did. It shows more about his CHARACTER than about people to be honest.

When are you going to get that through your thick Lebron stan head?

Even MICHAEL JORDAN, CHARLES BARLEY, MAGIC ALL OF THEM SAID THAT WAS NOT COOL WHAT HE DID. Jordan said he would have NEVER did a cop out move like that. He wanted to play against the best players not form a team to win a championship. They said the NBA players are not as talented as the ones back in the day which is why they have to do stupid crap like what Lebron did. THATS WHAT THESE LEGENDS SAID. MJ said he picked KOBE over Lebron. Lebron went on national tv and said where he was going and didnt tell THE HEAD COACH AND THE OWNER. The same people that nurtured him since the very beginning of his league career. YES I think he owed that team and owner a more CLASSIER farewell then making a big ass snobbisg deal about it and not telling them FIRST before airing it all on t.v. Its just the principle in how you do things especially with a team that you had been playing with for almost a decade. I mean c'mon.

And to make matters worse. His ignorant ass made alot of ignorant ass comments since being on Miami. This motherfucker ignorant motherfucker made fun of Dirk Dallas player injury when he got hurt that year he first played on Miami. That year his delusional ass said Miami would win 5 championships in a row lol Lebron was laughing and giggling HIM AND WADE at Dirk when he got injured.. Dirk said Lebron and Wade was ignorant for that and then Dallas t turned around and put their lights out and won the championship. lol James made a bunch ignorant childish remarks win he lost. He said that WE THE PUBLIC are going to go back to our COMMON lives WHILE HE LIVES IN HIS MANSION and go back to his mad mad mad mad mad Talk about a sore loser??? Why not say, I didnt play my best and I will play harder next year? Why bash the public? The public didnt make you lose Lebron. Your ass just chokes and dont know how to finish. So when you say thing like " People hate him because he didnt stay on Cleaveland" its very general and one sided because their are a MILLION things he has done and said that are legitimate reasons why people dont like him. His very immature, his very conceited and snobbish (And cant back up his talk). His not a likable "personality" which is why we dont like him because of the stupid shit he does and says. He is also the KING of the flops

The NBA Finals

Game 4

Miami Heat 109 San Antonio Spurs 93

After the shellacking they took from the Spurs in game three, Miami knew that if they had any chance of getting back into this series, their big three all needed to step up, or else they would be in danger of getting blown away from the NBA title.

And they did just that. The Heat got huge efforts from their big three plus played some crushing defense in the second half to pull away with a relatively easy victory over the Spurs. They were led by Dwyane Wade, who scored 32 points in the game while also grabbing six rebounds, dishing out four assists, and making six steals. Lebron James scored 33 points while grabbing 11 rebounds, and Chris Bosh added 20 points and 13 rebounds. Ray Allen even scored 14 points off the bench. As for the Spurs, Tim Duncan led the team with 20 points but was held in check in the second half, while Gary Neal and Danny Green, who exploded in game three, were held to just 13 and 10 points respectively. Tony Parker came into this game with a sore hamstring but played well in the first half, scoring 15 points. However, Miami's defense really took a toll on Parker's game in the second half, as he was held scoreless for the remainder of the game. The series may still be in doubt, but it's known for sure it will end in South Beach.

Series tied at 2-2.

Now, c'mon. Lebron isn't the asshole you make him out to be. I remember Michael Jordan and the Bulls championship years, and he played against far bigger assholes than Lebron will ever be. The "Bad Boy" Detroit Pistons were truly a bunch of assholes, and some of the Knicks back in the 90's were nearly as bad. Even Kobe Bryant was and is a bigger douchebag than Lebron James could ever be. In fact, the most heinous thing Lebron has ever done was going on TV with a whole TV special to announce what team he was going to. He lost a lot of fans over that; not necessarily because he decided to look for greener pastures (many big name stars do that these days; that's just par for the course), but because he made a spectacle of it. Remember that just before he went all Hollywood with his decision, he was rumored to be going to the Bulls or even staying in Cleveland. Trsut me, if he had decided to come to Chicago, Bulls fans would have been just as excited as the Heat fans were when he made his choice.

Lebron is a good basketball player... Ill give him that but he IS an asshole lol Im sorry Miami fans.

The bolded is FALSE. You know why?

Kobe would have NEVER said no elementary crap like "All the people that wanted me to lose can all go back to their common normal lives and I am going to go back to mine" HE WOULD HAVE NEVER SAID ANYTHING LIKE THAT. HE has NEVER said anything like that to a lost. Kobe says things like " I didnt play my best... or I could have did such and such" He is not a twat like Lebron is. Even if it was his best game why do you have to bash the public? lol The public didnt make you lose Lebron. That is not good sportsmanship and its very immature. Thats the kind of thing that turns people off and it comes off insulting. A good basketball player is going to admit to their bad games, suck it up and keep pushing forward.... not say stupid shit like that.

You still didnt comment on the ignorant comments he made about Dirk Nowitzki's injury? Can you please give me RATIONAL reasons with why it was okay for Lebron to make fun of his illness? eek YOU THINK THATS OKAY????? eek There was NO EXCUSE for that hun. Strike Two was that. Even DIRK said him and Wade was ignorant and childish for that.... THATS A LEGITIMATE REASON WHY SOMEONE MAY NOT LIKE HIM and when he and Wade got bashed for that THEY DESERVED IT

When he made those elementary comments dissing the middle class JUST because he lost... that was Strike Three ANOTHER LEGITIMATE REASON why someone may not like him. When he got bashed ONCE again for THAT he DESERVED IT.

All those things are asshole behaviors so its not like people are just hating on him just to hate him.

Jordan, Magic, Barkley, any other respectable basketball legend called Lebron out for leaving Cleaveland the way he did and did not agree with it. Jordan dont even like him and said he would pick Kobe over him. (Not that it matters but just saying it to show that it wasnt just the public that thought it wasnt right with how he left Cleaveland)
