Cherry Wheat is friggin' delicious. You must try it hammer No I don't think it's weird about the Sapporo. I actually buy the canned one because I can buy them individually at the super market. I don't like having too much beer in the fridge so I just buy a can when I'm craving it lol

And Heineken is just gross to me. I hate how it smells and tastes. Can't drink it barf

another brand to seek out is dogfish head. I am not a big fan of the over the top hoppy IPAswhich DFH makes) but they have some other great beers. A good beer shop will sell singles. Go in and get a variety.

And also understand that the color or darkness of the beer doesn't always mean the same thing. Some of the Belgian Quads are pretty dark but they are not at all the same experience as other dark beers. But also know their alcohol content can double or more that of most other beers.

hmmm

Really? So which "dark" beers are tame (like the lagers that I gravitate towards)?

I did not say tame. But darkness is not an indcation of flavor or bitterness and not at all about strength of ABV.

But try some of the Belign trappist ales. Like some of the quads. I mentioned 2 above. They are not black like guniess but a deep amber to dark.

another are the chocolats and other stouts. like some of the Samuel Smith brews.

If you live near Santa Rosa CA... seek out the Russian River Brewing Co, beers.

ecp Pliny the Younger (which i think is very limited and only in a few select pubs)

mmmm Beer!

I'm not picky.

my fav is Miller High Life! smile

but I like a plain old bud light too.

for a domestic dark I like Micholob amber boch (very smooth, not bitter)

I perfer cans, they seem to get colder. but again, I'm not picky

I'm not a fan of IPAs.

if someone offers me a heiniken, I'll drink it but...I won't like it. smile

never had a non-alcoholic beer.

"not a fan" falloff yeah...ok

I sort of live in Beer Central. We have amazing breweries around Madison - Ale Asylum, Capital and New Glarus, to name just three.

What beer(s) do you drink the most?

I have three:

Supper Club (by Capital) is a classic lager. In fact, they named it Supper Club because it's the kind of beer you'd drink with a fish fry at a Wisconsin supper club - light (but not too light), refreshing, and not overly "hoppy." This is the beer I drink as a "shower beer."

Spotted Cow (by New Glarus) is just a good, all-around beer. Technically, it's a farmhouse ale - and they use a variety of grains in making it. Pret' near every bar in Wisconsin has this on tap, now - so it's my "default" beer.

Hopalicious (by Ale Asylum) is my favorite IPA. Hoppy, fruity and just generally awesome. This is the beer I drink at any bar that has it. And it's what I tend to drink when I'm going to be out for awhile, since it tends to be heavier and I can't drink as much (so I make each beer last longer). lol

Plus:

Tsingtao is the beer Sweetie and I like with Chinese food.

We drink Asahi or Hitachino with Japanese food.

Bottles or cans?

Draft if they have it. Bottle if not. Can in the shower. (Safety first!)

What beer(s) do you dislike?

This is not a problem I have. In fact, I like beer so much, I get POd if anybody puts a piece of fruit on a beer they expect me to drink. disbelief

Have you ever had a non-alcoholic brew?

What would be the point of that? wacky

I love this beer with Thai food. The only time I really ever drink beer.

WHAT is your favorite beer? John Smith's

What beer(s) do you drink the MOST? Newcastle Brown Ale, Kilkenny, Guinness

Bottles or cans? Bottle or glass, hardly any good beer is sold in cans

What beer(s) do you dislike? Any brewed by the Heineken concern, they all have international, lame, "commercialised" recipes and basically all taste the same

Have you ever had a non-alcoholic brew? Yes, didn't like it

Mmmm! I just got home after having a couple of Miller Lites (not my favorite).

WHAT is your favorite beer? I love Guinness and have a soft spot for a good Dunkel (Franziskaner is good).

What beer(s) do you drink the MOST? I probably order Miller Lite the most, when the weather is warm, and I'm in a normal bar and not trying to seem pretentious. smile If I'm at a specialty beer place, I'll ask the bartender to recommend a stout or brown ale.

Bottles or cans? Guinness draft, bottles otherwise, but I'm not finicky.

What beer(s) do you dislike? I'm not a fan of IPA.

Have you ever had a non-alcoholic brew? No.

Have you ever had Coors Lite? If so, how does Miller Lite compare in your opinion?

For all intents and purposes, they are the same IMO. For me, Coors Lite has to be super cold for me to really enjoy it, but that may just be something from my past, when we would stick a case of Coors Lite in ice, in a cooler, as we float down the Guadalupe River....aaaaahhhhhh!

WHAT is your favorite beer? Leffe Blond (honorable mention, Hoffbrau)

What beer(s) do you drink the MOST? Carlsberg, Grolsch or Peroni

Bottles or cans? Bottles and preferabbly decanted into an appropriate glass.

What beer(s) do you dislike? Stouts (other than Guiness) anything too malty, too hoppy or that tastes like watered down yak urine like Budweiser.

Have you ever had a non-alcoholic brew? Yes but didn't leave an impression.

If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it!

What is your favorite beer? Not a huge beer drinker...I prefer red wine. But right now it's Wild Blue blueberry lager. drool They have blackberry and raspberry too. All are wonderful.

What beer(s) do you drink the MOST? Corona with lots of lime. Must be icy cold. It's what I want when I've been working in the yard or mowing grass.

Bottles or cans? Bottles or a glass.

What beer(s) do you dislike? This really dark beer my son buys from BevMo. ill Can't remember the name but it's horrible.

Have you ever had a non-alcoholic brew? no point shrug lol

When I lived in Madison, WI we went out after work on Friday's to Old Chicago on Mineral Point Rd and I got the World Beer Tour card...tried out many but always came back to Corona.

PJ, next time I go to Belgium, I'll tell you way in advance so you can save up and go. We are going to stay a couple of days and drink ourselves into a semi-stupor. Genesia, you need to come along too... a woman after my own heart. cool I love beer.

My favorite foreign beers are..

Leffe

Duvel

Kwak

Orval

Brouwerij Het Anker

Guinness

Grolsch

My Favorite domestic beers are...

Bud Light Premium

Samal Adams

MGD is my pizza & taco beer lol

Micro-Brewery

Atlas

Goose Island

I perfer bottles but cans are better for drinking in places you should, like city parks and beaches. I perfer bottles/cans over Tap because most places don't clean their lines as the should (every night) to keep all the junk and stuff out. feeling ill

My everyday beers are Grolsch, MGD, Samal Adams.

I don't see the point in drinking anything non alcoholic unless its lemonade, ice tea, or water. confused

I never even THOUGHT about those nasty lines. hmm

I will say this; I went on 2 separate occassions to this place that serves Dos Equis on tap. I love Dos Equis on tap anywhere that serves it is alright in my book. wink
HOWEVER...this one place that I'm referring to has HORRIBLE tasting Dos Equis on tap. The first time I thought it was a bad keg or something and I ordered something else. But the second time it tasted JUST AS BAD. neutral That was the last time I went to THAT place.
