Fuck if I know but it's one of the ingredients. Maybe to make the yellow a bit more orange? I've never seen a twinkie. [Edited 6/30/13 10:46am] |

Was this when you were a student or as a teacher?
A student. 4th or 5th grade. We went on a field trip and had to pack lunches in brown bags. My mom made me a PBJ snadwich, and threw in a Twinkie and a juice. We had to leave our lunches on the hot school bus. Everything was hot and smashed... I ate it, then a little while later... I haven't been able to eat those things since.

I can relate...back in 6th(?) grade I had a hot dog that made me ...I couldn't eat hot dogs again until I was in my 20's.

I think it's a literal translation of what you said. "Empalagan" literally translates to "cloy" which means "too much sweetness".

Gotcha.
I did not know that.
Now I have to google that & use it in a sentence.
