What Do You Do To Help With Focus?

So i have been working a ton lately with multiple tasks and recently i am having the hardest time focusing on tasks.. mainly outside of work though.

So i was working on that TV movie for syfy as mentioned in another thread and i was ok then but...

At home i have recently been trying to do work more with my music and i practice my bass almost everyday but the past few week's i can not concentrate... like i just can't confused

outside work the only thing that really keeps me calm is the gym! which is on of the reasons i go so much(Not going to pimp my recent gym threads hahahaah lurking)

But when it comes to making music, changing a tire on my car, writing etc. I can not focus for the life of me and it is just driving me off the wall sad

I also take the essential supplements(Minus the bodybuilding ones) i also take fish oil and L-glutamine which is good for supporting muscle mass as well as maintaining focus.

But idk outside of work i am just hammer

What is a good way to keep focused on certain tasks you are doing at home?

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

Congratulations on the Syfy show! It sounds like you have many plates spinning. One technique you might try is simply to "schedule" the things you want to do. That's right, make a schedule and promise yourself you will devote that time to the particular task you have planned. Maybe it would be a good idea to start with small intervals, done regularly, every day, at the same time. For example, right after you wake up, and perhaps while you are having coffee, that would be a good time to work on writing. Do that, say, for the first hour of the day. Then work out or clean house for the next hour. Only do things for an hour at first. Then stop and move on. That way your mind conditions itself to recognizing "Okay, this is the designated time to get this task done." Otherwise, without planning it, your mind is simply too ready to abandon what you should be doing for stimulation of doing many things - none of which typically can get done. Try it! smile
