I was walking behind a girl whose big toe was literally dragging on the ground.

WHEN THEY GET WORN DOWN, THROW THEM AWAY!!! THEY DON'T COST THAT MUCH!!!

And at the end of the summer, toss them. Buy new ones in the spring. Again, they're cheap.

Why start off with dirty, twisted, worn-down flip-flops at the beginning of the season?

I just don't like them.

The noise "flip-flops" make is simply unbearable and extremely unelegant.

Heels can be even louder, but at least they give an elegant "clack".

I think she has decent feet, although the second toe is slightly hammered, her feet look nice and they fit the shoe perfectly. In my younger days, this is what I wore.

Is this thread about the two pairs of shoes pictured or flip-flops?

I mean i got a foot fetish and al but flip flops are kinda gross...

They can contract so much dirt and other nasty thing's that could jump up and int he long run it hurts the ball of your foot and makes it look a cracked sidewalk...

IMO, flip flops are for either the beach or the shower or both. The thing is, most folks who choose to wear flip flops as if they are actual shoes don't bother to wash their damn feet or use a foot file to saw down the dry, crusty skin on the heel of their foot.

The last two relpies are EXACTLY what my question was about!! I get people just dont like the looks of them, but they offer no less protection from dirt than the pair of sandals in the 1st picture... Plus being flat footed is a whole lot natural than wearing a high heel and contorting your foot into an unnatural position!

Dont get me wrong, I love a heel... I just dont get the foot flop hate!

My aunt rails on about them, basically because, she says the feet get filthy, which irks the living hell out of her. I've only worn flip flops outside once, late at night going to the laundry mat, and I'll admit when I got home the bottom of my feet were pretty dirty, dirtier than I've ever seen them in sandles. (Of course my aunt rails about sandles too getting your feet dirty so it makes no difference to her, half naked feet outside means dirty) It surprised the heck out of me and I don't have an explanation on what the difference was, it was a relatively clean laundromat, all I know is I've never worn flip flops out the house again. I had to soak my feet after I got home. Plus I don't like that sound either, I take too much patiences trying not to make that sound just walking around the house, that's just too bothersome to worry about all day.

Cause everytime you lift your foot up to take a step the shoe is like 2 seconds behind thus allowing dirt and shit to stick to your already sweaty foot and with every step more dirty and shit just cakes to the soul of your foot. Its disgusting. Atleast with sandals there is a back support that keeps for the most part the shoe in contact with the bottom of your feet.

But Im like your Aunt sandals are pretty much beach wear only for me also.

the first pair is too small for the "model's" feet.

Having a lot of foot issues lately, and the thought of any flat non-supportive footwear like flip flops makes me cringe. A small heel and arch support is always needed, thank you! Flip flops make my feet hurt looking at them!
