Imagine living to 116 yrs old, how would you do it? And other off the wall questions? I'm not talking about the basic eating right and exercising. Just living, do you go to a nursing home, what about retirement, do you volunteer, move to the country, or drive you kids and grandkids crazy?

Do you mean how do you get to be so old? Or what in the hell do you do to while away the hours/days/years when you get past say 80, which is he age where you pretty much can't open cans or tie your laces any more. My grandma is gonna be 104 in December, my other grandma 99. My doctor says this is likely forecast in my genes too. If you can't see or hear too well it's gotta be pretty boring  Otherwise there's always crosswords and classical music on the radio and a stroll out on the footpath with your rollator. Going to church, live music and variety shows on tv, naps, medication, doctor appointments, hairdresser, talking books - esp crimmies, gossip, going over and over your life's mistakes, your nightly Campari, keeping alive your pepperomia, venison at the dining hall (!), trying to decipher the strong accents of your personal care attendants, hopefully your kids, grand kids and great grand kids live close enough to visit. Watching the game with the volume to 11 in the common room with tea and spongecake. Sounds awesome  I'm the mistake you wanna make | |

Sounds like you better plan ahead, you got a long haul on this planet . I alway think it would be nice to see the world after 100 years, but then one does have to live day to day and that can present some problems. You never hear those details, I'm kind of curious to know. . And what the heck is a Campri and pepperomia? . I'm thinking of changing this thread title to strange questions and their answers, I ran across one I have thought about but it's not something you would bring up in normal conversation. | |

A pepperomia is a quite nice houseplant. I have one in my bathroom. Campari is an alcoholic drink. I've never tried it, I imagine it to taste like cough mixture. I'm the mistake you wanna make | |

Would you plan on retiring at 70? Would you move to the country or stick it out in the city? What are you plans if you make it that long? | |
