Movies you're considering checking out this summer?

I'll definitely be seeing this one, of course:

Probably this one:

I'll wait for the reviews on these:

I honestly have very little idea of forthcoming titles. shrug And I could take or leave those few titles I do know.

I love Sally Hawkins so I will be checking out Blue Jasmine as well. And Julie Delpy won me over recently after watching the movies 2 Days in Paris and 2 Days in New York (both very funny) so I have the entire trilogy of Before Sunrise/Sunset/Midnight on my schedule.

Others I want to see right now:

Frances Ha - I've read Woody Allen is a huge influence for this one.

Stories We Tell - The new documentary by Sarah Polley (Take This Waltz) has gotten excellent reviews.

I really want to see Frances Ha as well. I was looking forward to Only God Forgives, but the early notices haven't been too positive.

Otherwise:

Pacific Rim

Ain't Them Bodies Saints

A Band Called Death

I've heard Pacific Rim talked about a lot (especially on the Entertainment Weekly channel, on SiriusXM). I just googled it to see what it was.

I like Rooney Mara, but the trailer for ATBS didn't appeal to me.

First I've heard of ABCD. I like docs, but dunno if I would watch this.

I get the impression you disagree. lol That was never a selling point for me though since I'm not a Woody Allen fan. It just looks like a cute NYC indie comedy on which I'm willing to take a chance--especially since most reviews are favorable.

Not sure this is due in the summer, but the title made me laugh (you have to read the plot summary):

In a World...

I wouldn't see it (I don't see anything lol), but it sounds like an interesting premise.

Written by "Anonymous"? Is it a secret, or is this a bad sign ala "The Purge" (Written by Universal Pictures)?

I really enjoyed Another Earth. This movie, however, is so predictable and all the characters are two dimensional: hippies good, corporations bad. I was really disappointed. And I love Brit Marling.

IMDb says it was written and directed by Lake Bell.
