It's your cats way of showing that they are contributing to the house. It's meant to be really sweet actually from the cat's point of view, but funny and gross from humans point of view.

Cats are one of the main culprits in the decline of native bird populations. By St. Boogar and all the saints at the backside door of Purgatory!

And birds are killing worms. We NEED worms, they keep the ground fluffily. [Edited 5/30/13 14:47pm]

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.

My son and DIL have two cats that use to bring birds and RATS into their house then just slash them to pieces. Almost daily they'd post pictures of the bloody feathery carnage. YUCK!?! The only way they got it to stop was lock the "doggy" door. That kept the left offerings limited to the front porch at the door. I'm firmly planted in denial

It's the cat's way of showing you he loves you. I had a cat that would bring me live birds and dead snakes and lizards.
