Do you usually wear a hat/cap?

or something similar?

why?

I usually wear a cap, I like the way it fits my face, and it's TRULY helpful when my hair/face is messy/sweaty for whatever reason

Not all the time, but I do if I have to run out in the morning and I haven't washed my hair or it looks bad. I can only wear a hat for a short period of time before it starts to make me sweat and drives me crazy.

I have a love/hate relationship with hats. First, I don't wear baseball caps unless I have no other option. Second, I don't like to wear them to cover up un-done hair. Weird I know.

.

So what I'm left with is wearing a hat when my hair is done, but when I wear a hat it wrecks my hair so I can't take the hat off. grrr

.

Oh and I ALWAYS wear a hat when I've got the top dropped on my car, or if I'm out in the sun for any length of time, so I have to get creative with my hair when it's time for the hat to come off.

.

I do not wear baseball caps and in general I am anti-cap. I think they tend to look sloppy (though I should point out there are always exceptions and I certainly understand plenty of folks don't care what I think of their caps). Of course, if you're actually playing baseball or are, say, out fishing on a sunny day then they serve a functional purpose and I get that.

I generally wear hats only when they serve a functional purpose, though I will choose a fashionable hat to do it. I wear hats to keep my head warm in the winter and sunhats to shade me in the summer. And a helmet when I ride my bike. That's about all.

On cold days in the fall and winter, I'll typically do a flat cap along the lines of...

I look awful in just about all other types of hats except bowlers. I look great in bowlers, in fact! But I'm not quite bold enough to attempt one. sad

I go hatless in warmer weather. I own one baseball cap that I got while traveling in 2001, but I haven't worn it in about 7 years. Always makes me feel like a man trying to look 20 years younger.

I wear hats, occasionally, but not often.

Baseball caps? Ugh. No, thank you.

I look stupid in hats. And I come from a hat wearing tradition, you know those big fancy decorative hats. I look like a little kid, even now, playing dress up. I'm not sure what it is to this day, it makes me sad because I want to wear them.

The only time I ever wear anything on my head is when im on a run... I use it to hold my hair back, soak up sweat. and help keep sun off my face...

Both, when I don't want to put product in my hair (or when it's either very hot/sunny, or raining hard).

I'm told that wering hats/caps is not good for thinning hair, so I'm trying to cut back.

Last year I bought one of those fedora-style hats that are popular now...

...took it to Myrtle Beach, and it did a great job at keeping the hot sun at bay AND didn't fly off my head on the tour boat!

I wear them a lot for the following reasons:
don't have to put a lot of effort into making my hair look good

as an accesory for my outfit

to keep me warm or protect me from the sun or rain

2 of many examples, sadly only this shape of cap looks good on me pout

This. I also wear a hat or visor when I play golf - to keep the sun out of my eyes and secure my hair.

I also have a ton of berets (for my winter "run out in the morning without washing my hair" times) and some amazing dressy hats. Like this one:

I've got one for the summer, to keep myself in the shadow.

My skull is small, so most hats fall over my head.

I did just order a Pop N Go, so I can protect myself against the rain.

Thanks biggrin . I have no idea, I was not even sure if it's called a cap or a hat in English (English is not my first language) lol. I'd definitely be interested to find out if they go by a certain name.

I own about 50 of them I guess lol
