Just the way it is dude, specially when youre young. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

Your "friend" values his relationship with his girl more than he does your friendship. Leave him alone to sniff behind his girl's behind until either she kicks him to the curb or he gets tired of her and wants to hook back up with his boys. But I agree with lazycrockett. It's a hazzard of being young and immature. I just don't see why he couldn't bring his gril to your party? Was it a dude only affair?

This is why married couples are like "where did all our friends go?"

If I've done it, it was cause of interfering and going behind my back and betrayal. If they do it while I'm in a relationship, they'll always do it and those are not the kind of friends I need

"But i always support him like when he needed me", that sounds like he should see you out of guilt. Things change, it's his choice. Apperently he likes this girl a lot, so let him enjoy it.

I think he sounds like a whipped dummy from what you've described. I won't be asking "permission" from anyone, to go to any friends birthday party, ever. Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss...

Newly minted couples need time to bond as they go through their infatuation phase. Eventually they tend to come around once they reconfigure their relationship priorities, especially if it's not a serious thing.
If a friend is in a serious relationship or a marriage we should to realize, (without resentment), that our role in their lives may be permanently diminished. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

In my circle of friends I only have one that does that. He has a hard time getting a Girlfriend so when he does he makes her his #1 focus and shuts the rest of us out. We're all use to it and he knows if he needs us we're there for him. I'm guessing once he gets Married that'll be the last we'll see of him...LOL... *************************************************************************** That's not my Style at all. I'm not Controling, the Jealous type & Clingy but I do Love Hard. But I don't move to a Private Island when I'm in relationships. Now once the relationship is over you will NEVER hear from me again. I start a brand new chapter and I don't go back. I picked you for a Reason and if you break my heart I will Protect myself from letting you do it to me a 2nd time.

I'm not convince that you're being a prick as much as I've convince that your male friend has become a victim of whip appeal. . Sad but true.

Is he your friend or not? If he's a good friend of mine, he'll get the invite even if he doesn't show. He'd still get emails and texts. He may not have as much time to spend with me as when he was single but as long as we can still text and email each other, we'll see each other when we can. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

Still sounds lame to me. He said "They are not even in a relationship." Extra lame.
Live your life how you wanna. If you need permission from girlfriend/whatever to go do normal things, there are some major confidence/self esteem issues involved. Address them and then live your life to the fullest.
The only time you'd ever need "permission" although I wouldn't call it that, is if you'd already planned something with your girl/fulla and then something else comes up that you'd like to attend on the same date. Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss...

I am. I just have to look the other way, even if his excuse is "Friday is the day she first asked me to eat so we always eat on Friday now"...which was his reason for not going to my birthday party as well :smh: Oh well win some you lose some.

He actually did tell me he had no friends for 6 years with his last girlfriend because of this exact reason. Eventually she dumped him and ran off with a trucker, and here I was picking him back on his feet for a year emotionally. I'm glad he is feeling better though but I just have no sympathy when he whines about how she is mildy bi polar and yells at him in public places :smh: Straight Jacket Funk Affair
