By the way...for those who want to know, that Natalie Cole CD is called "Ask A Woman Who Knows". It's a very nice mix, with a lot of remakes by Gershwin, Sergio Mendes, Jimmy Dorsey, etc.

Do you buy music @ a record store or online?

When's the last time you were @ the record store?

What'd you buy last?

What are you planning to buy?

I usually buy music online, if only because most of what I listen to isn't exactly mainstream, so I can't just stroll into any record store and find it on the shelves.

However, sometimes I'll browse record stores just to see what they have on hand. My current favorite is LUNA... their downtown location is just up the street from my office. They devote a substantial portion of the space to dance music, including vinyl. It's probably been a month since I was last there... I need to stop by again.

My last purchase (that I've received) was:

Inaya Day meets Louis Benedetti -- "Shout it Out" [12" vinyl]

It's a U.S. release, but I had to order a copy from the U.K. because I couldn't find a domestic record store that had it in stock.

I've also ordered, but have not yet received:

Dax Riders -- "Real Fonky Time" [CD single]

Various artists -- Sakura Hills Disco 3000 [CD compilation from Japan]

My next purchase? Maybe:

Miguel Migs -- Nude Tempo 1 [mix CD on the great Naked Music label]

I'm a sucker for a bargain lol Unless it's an artist I'm dedicated to & I get it when it drops, I'll buy it used in a second nod

Calhoun, what songs do you like on 'Invincible'? You better say "Heaven Can Wait"...lol...

You Rock My World, Butterflies, Break of Dawn, Heaven Can Wait... fuck, that's 4, now I'll probably keep it :X

!!!What about Unbreakable, Heartbreaker, Don't Walk Away, 2000 Watts (it helps if you turn this one up!) and Whatever Happens???

I admit I only listened once but I guarantee Unbreakable, Heartbreaker & 2000 Watts won't grow on me. They smack of desperation IMO...

I go to the record store every Tuesday. The last music I bought was Diamonds and Pearls, The Best Of War(double CD) and the CD single of Thicke's When I Get You Alone. The next thing I am planning to buy is 50 Cent's Get Rich Or Die Tryin'. I won some tickets in a radio contest and will not be outdone singing by those younger than me.

I buy almost all of my cds (and DVDs/videos) on half.com. Most recently I bought the newer Coldplay album, the newer Jurrasic 5 album, a couple of old U2 albums, and the new John Mayer concert DVD. I highly recommend all of the above.

I got that Aerosmith colleciton not to long ago as well. Dig it. Love Aerosmith.

I almost always buy online (Half.com, Amazon, or CD universe). I buy used most of the time.

The last time I bought something at a store was for Christmas, and it was too late to buy some presents online so I HAD to go (went to Best Buy).

I just bought Paul Weller's Illumination & The Music. Both online, both new, (Tower Records this time...I couldn't find The Music on any other websites) and both absolutely ROCK.

Finally Last Child by Aerosmith headbang!

I usually got to tower or the virgin mega store...they are open atleast until 11:00pm here in chicago so I can go when I get off work at night which is kinda nice.

If I am looking for hard to find or rare stuff there are some really good local places here my favorite is reckless records they always have good shit.
