We're destroying OUR OWN environment (Google Earth Engine) ...not the planet, planet Earth will adapt and evolve, it will keep on rolling
it is mankind which is doomed to a change that may be hazardous for mammal life

Very interesting!
I read somewhere that the "green Sahara" possibly turned to dessert in big part due to humans introducing grazing livestock (goats? sheep?) that destroyed the grasslands and topsoil.
We are like a virus...we reproduce uncontrollably and make our host (planet Earth) sick.
I just hope we don't go too far and eventually find balance with the planet.
Once I saw a show on Native Americans, and a speaker was saying how early Europeans would stare at the wildnerness and berate the Native Americans by stating; "Look at the land! You've been here all this time and have done NOTHING!" And the Native American response is to be proud; "YES. We've been here all this time, and done NOTHING to the land!"
Who knows what the would be like today, had the European settlers NOT been deluded with their egocentric self-importance and tried to assimilate - rather than eradicate - the way of life of the early Americans.

Earth has been inhabited with different species troughout time.
So, it's only natural that humans came and one day will extinct.
That's life.
Maybe we will life the day. 99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%. |
