@ the RECORD STORE...

.

Do you buy music @ a record store or online?

When's the last time you were @ the record store?

What'd you buy last?

What are you planning to buy?

***

Went today & got mostly old crap I've been meaning to get for years:

  • Sade, Lover's Live - still waiting to listen to it...

  • Aerosmith, Ultimate Aerosmith Hits - listening now headbang

  • R. Kelly, Chocolate Factory - you fuckers were making me too curious sad haven't cracked it yet...

  • Jacksons, The Jacksons - only 2 songs on this one, taking it back (after I burn the 2 I like) boxed

  • Jacksons, Triumph - always loved this one, keeping it...

  • Bryan Adams, So Far So Good - fuck off, I like him!! evil sad

  • Aaron Hall, The Truth - it's old but I wanted to hear Don't Be Afraid. They had the nerve to put 2 remixes of that song on it, BUT NOT THE ORIGINAL SONG - WTF??? whofarted Why do they do that? Exclude the one released song from the album? It's so friggin' stupid disbelief that's going back...

  • MJ, Invincible - I can see why there were so many in the used bin neutral It was only $5.95 but I may burn 2 or 3 cuts & return it, dunno yet...

still wanna get:

more jazz, got a lot of exploring to do
the new Macy when it drops
Kate Bush, I wanna discover her, suggestions welcome smile
Scarface, I have none of his & I need some
more Isley Bros., I'm missing some stuff
2 much, I have a list going, lol
The Roots, I like the video they keep playing w/ Cody Chestnut - is that new or old? Wanna see what they're about, maybe check out Cody too...

Considering Kate, you may try her Best Off first.
For the albums, get Red Shoes and The Hounds Of Love (SE)

For myself, I hardly ever by CD's anymore. I used to buy them secondhand in a store.
Nowadays I only purchase some rare prince cds online. Regular CDs I get copies from or I download them...

I still love to go true the CDs at those dusty back-street secondhand CD stores...

I bought most of my Prince CDs secondhand. Only the ones released after 96 I bought new. Except Come, that one was on sale, so I bought it new cheaper then it was in secondhand stores...

Don't know which one it is then. They have released a lot of 'Best Off's lately. One with a girl's back on the front, one with the hologram. Big Ones has been rereleased and there is another one. Doesn't make sense.

I've found a ton of used CDs that look brand new - you know, somebody got the disc, listened to it maybe once, and sold it right back. Also, a lot of older and OOP stuff is only available used.

My next planned purchase is "Alien," the new Portishead record coming March 25th, although I will have to trade something in to get it.

I will only buy music at a record store; I am very leary of online purchases.

The last thing I bought at a record store was the new Natalie Cole w/ Tell Me All About It; that was before the holidays (2002)

I am planning to buy The Cure, some Phil Collins, The Pet Shop Boys and more of Prince's back catalogue.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

I hope to find most of the gems that I want at Street Corner Records or at Justin's; I don't mind purchasing used CD's, either.

Thanks Calhoun for listing the Aerosmith set...may have to get that one, too music
