You forget Manny is a slave working for Bob Arum. That's the real reason they can't fight. You can say all you want about Floyd but both were willing to face each other. Arum's the one that got in the way. Come on Tony, you're gonna be a sheeple now? biggrin

Pac barley makes 10 mil a fight if that. Mayweather is guaranted over 30+ in his fights and that's just upfront. Add in PPV sales, merchadising, ect for the fight and it's over 40 mil.

yeahthat Which is why I feel a little sorry for Pac. I understand the emotion though from some Pac fans. Folks hate Floyd so they think he's the only one to blame as to why the fight didn't go down...

Floyd (NOT Bob) demand Manny to take two drug tests and Manny passed them both. Period. neutral

Floyd hasn't fought a Top Rank fighter since he left the stable.

He mostly deals with Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy.

Mayweather last fight with Bob Arum and Top Rank, he got 5 million.

His next fight on his own, he got 8 million.

After that, 25 million vs De La Hoya.

He hasn't been under 30 mil for a fight yet.

When Pac gets a 20 mil fight, Arum get's a lot of that money.

Tony I don't know where you get your info from but Manny didn't take any test becuase they never signed the contracts to fight and Bob is the reason why this fight didn't take place.

Bob is greedy with a capital G, he's still butt hurt at Floyd because Floyd was smart enough to buy out his contract when he was still a top rank fighter for 700,000.

Nope Timmy, that was some Top Rank PR department bullshit that they spead all over the internet and the Pac-Tards and Floyd haters ate it up like the gospel.

Ah! Gotcha. nod Makes sense now. So yeah Arum prohibited a match. The sooner Manny leaves him the better chances they might fight.

Bob and Don are alot alike but one HUGE difference between the two is Don always got the big fights made whereas Bob doesn't.

Amen!! Hate Don all you want but the public still got what they wanted. He was/is a greedy, underhanded, thief as is Bob Arum but he did his job for the most part-- promoting fights. What it comes down to, I suspect, is that Floyd has no love for Arum and is gonna make him practically beg to get this fight. He probably wants to stick it to Arum more than he wants to beat Pacquiao and "soldify his legacy".

Mayweather's next bought should be with..

...Georges St. Pierre.

wink

Yes, as in the MMA fighter.

They're probably in different weight categories, but that can be fixed (one can move up in weight or the other down, or something).

Why?

Boxing is losing ground.

MMA is growing.

Right now would be a good time to have a match between the two.

Maybe if it's just an exhibition match (since I doubt St. Pierre would want to adhere to boxing rules).

shrug

What do you all think???

Lol, MMA is cool but no where near the popularity of boxing.

^^^Not YET at least!

Like I said...boxing is on its way down, while MMA is growing.

At some point soon, I'm sure they'll be equals in term of popularity, events & receipts.

Will MMA ever eclipse boxing? shrug Only time will tell.

New York is close to making it legal.
Women MMA fighters are making inroads.

shrug

Still, whether or not it ever does, I still say put Mayweather in the ring with St. Pierre.
