ummm baby burritos! But when done correctly it makes a baby calm down. It is not that difficult to do it correctly.

Swaddle not strangle lol

Most babies are very comforted and relaxed by this.

Obviously, pay attention to tightness, and don't keep it tight with KNOTS! eek Wow

I'd say there's a big difference between swaddling and restraining.

I don't think they were that dumbass - they were callous evil b*%#hes. They had a daycare and didn't want to take care of the babies properly. These were 7 months plus babies, usually active, crying, etc. They just wanted them restrained, sleeping all day, and quiet. That's why they also threw the blankets over their faces too.
As others have posted, swaddling an immobile (newborn) baby that you actually care about is a safe and soothing practice.

Swaddling is for infants, and very soothing for them. Everyone knows this. Anyone who swaddles a 7+ month old is clearly a dumbass, lazy in their childcare methods, or both.

I tell you, "common sense" today really isn't so common after all disbelief

^^ What those two said.

I always thought swaddling was for newborns and infants. Once a baby reaches physical developmental stages, just a few months of age, I was under the impression they should be allowed to move about more, explore what their limbs can do and, ya know, exercise.

But then, this is me, and I ain't to good with the kid stuff. lol

I remember my mom teaching me how to swaddle my doll when I was...like...3. nod

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

How are those kids so close in age anyway?
