He knows this one though. He does like Journey, we almost went to a concert. He watched Purple Rain with me. He thought it was OK. Probably because of Appolonia though LOL. He thought Morris was hilarious. I feel a lot better about it. I was mostly looking for tolerance not "OMG I love Prince too!!1!!1" I still will be changing the radio in the car if he plays stations I hate. Since he does that to me. We will just be stuck with classic rock, or alt rock (we have that in common) in the car. Is this about Prince, or is it about missing your deceased spouse, and having strong feelings for the boyfriend, and somehow comparing the two....or finding a reason NOT to like the boyfriend as much, because having deep feelings will somehow betray what you had with your spouse...
Prince as dealbreaker? Hmm. Now if he says he hates Prince and then pops you one in the face about it, that would be a dealbreaker... | |

You are so smart. Yes I have survivor's guilt. Yes, it is impossible not to compare them because they are opposite. I am mad that I am capable of loving people so dissimilar. Maybe I'm shallow but music is really important to me and if you hate my taste in music then we're done. I don't care how fine or anything else. If you hate the little man, you're not going to react well to my James Brown obsession or early Kool and the Gang records. Life's too short to have to sit thru Rascal Flats with some who HATES Prince. | |

We have our religion and politics on the same page, is this OK?!? . I told him, he will go to a concert with me and accidently have fun and enjoy it. He does not think so. . On Sunday, Prince closed with ICNTTPOuM (SoTT) and I was just so feeling it. Ironically, my hubby "left me" in June with a kid and a baby O.O. As a crazy fan I thought, maybe this is settling. (WHAT?!?!) . Ugh my life is nuts sorry about this rant. Maybe I should be embarrased that I am such a big fan that this matters. I just have so much tied into it. I mean I wouldn't be a poet if I had not come across Prince. Or a linguist, and help translate to save lives. It just matters. I love words and secret messages because of this guy. . Someone slap me and say. "Everyone does NOT have to like Prince!" Okay. I can accept that. Well, does everyone who loves ME have to? . Any of you with a Prince-hater spouse?!?!? . Someone find me the one exception song like when I found Darling Nikki for my goth friend . Any country fans in the house? . How in heaven will I ever be allright?
