Craigslist: Is it possible to find love there?

So most people go on Craigslist to find a job or an apartment. Have any of you been on it to find love? Do tell smile

Isn't Craigslist the bottom of the barrel choice for finding love? Not saying that it can't happen, but I'd much rather be alone than to consider most of those options. I knew someone who tried Craigslist in hopes of finding somebody to replace her boyfriend, whom she was still dating. Needless to say, it took her a couple of weeks to tell me and she knew I wouldn't approve. After a couple of tries of basically being treated as easy, fresh meat, she gave that up and stayed with the bf. Unfortunately, she's one of those types who can't be single for awhile and take a break in between relationships to focus on self. She prefers to be miserable and not alone.

That's interesting...I saw something online about a woman who married a dude she met from Craigslist but perhaps there's more than meets the eye smile Sorry to hear about your friend's experience though sad

She had no business being on there in the first place but she survived. That was a lesson learned experience for her.

I always thought it was. I would go with Blackplanet, the Cheaters website or heck even MocoSpace before i looked for true love on Craigslist.

Now looking for straight up sex is a whole nother thing. Craigslist is ripe with hookers, hustlers, tranny's and swingers.

Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.

Married my wife off of Craigslist (dated for 2 and been married for 6 years)

The ad went something like;

Raggedy Andy looking for Raggedy Ann. I never bought that whole brother and sister thing. Lost a few buttons and have a few threads loose but I know you're out there.

"Bottom of the Barrel" was the one where you pay to find "your soullmate".

Any dating service for that matter is preying on the lonely. It makes me barf

Soulmate Bastids said I didn't have one! That's a kick in the nuts, Dr Whoever the hell you are.

I said then give me my money back (which they did) and then with a basic ad for free, I found her.

It's possible to find a hit man there if you need one. Now if you fall in love with that hitman, I'm not too sure if that counts.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Depends on what you define as "love"...and how much you want to pay for it.

She kept the ad and every email and every other thing I've ever given her.

I never expected to meet her. I was just putting the energy out into the world that i was ready to meet a good person and CL just happened to to be the place it worked out in.

I bought a couple of pieces of good furniture on craiglsit...and someone to haul it for cheap... As far as romance goes...? Great place to find a serial killer!
