Ozzy Osbourne: I'm 44 Days Sober – and Still Married

From her double mastectomy to their daughter's mysterious seizure, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne have had a tough time lately.

But things may be looking up for the couple, who wed in 1982. Ozzy, 64, took to Facebook Monday to post a message about his sobriety.

"For the last year and a half I have been drinking and taking drugs," he wrote. "I was in a very dark place and was an a–– to the people I love most, my family. However, I am happy to say that I am now 44 days sober."

He also decided to clear up rumors that he and Sharon, who co-hosts The Talk, are splitting.

"Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing," he continued. "I'm just trying to be a better person."

Osbourne, 64, also expressed regret to his loved ones. "I would like to apologize to Sharon, my family, my friends and my band mates for my insane behavior during this period," he wrote. "And [to] my fans."

Reps for the couple declined to comment.

Damn Ozz/: he had been clean for quite a few years... but i guess when he is sad or depressed he can't kick the hard stuff.

Ozzy has done more drugs then probably any other rock star in history.. literally and yet he is alive. He counts his blessings but he need's to watch it his body can't take much more of that shit.

Something tells me he got on those pills again. I think he quit the street drugs long time ago.

Sharon addressed the rumors on "The Talk" yesterday about their supposed break up. She seems tired and stressed out. Its strange whenever asked about Ozzy in the past year she painted a positive picture of him. I guess you never know what is really going on behind closed doors until the person admits the real truth.

I guess every couple can't be as honest & "Intact" as The Smith's....

Sharon confirmed it was indeed a pill relapse... I think he had a similar relapse during the Osbournes show era.

And uh, this couple's been married 30 years. They've been through worse. They'll get through it. Just like Danny DeVito and Rhea Pearlman.

From what ive read, Sharon said that she wasn't aware of Ozzy's relapsed until he went public with it. Considering how long they've been together im not sure if i believe it. However, addicts are good at hiding shit and they both seem busy so anything's possible.

Regardless, Guns is right(other comment). You can't keep on abusing your body with pills and alcohol and expect to have a healthy, decent life span. With drugs, the older you get the worse the toll is on your body.

Sharon is not telling the truth. She knows every other freaking detail about her husband when she constantly brings him up. But doesn't know he is popping pills & can't tell the difference?......
