I just caught up all the way to s6e03 last friday and I'm loving season 6 so far. Getting ready right now to watch tonight's GoT and Mad Men. I recommend the Firewall and Iceberg Podcast cause every morning they talk about last night's Mad Men and it's really fun.

I was waiting to see how the show handled the death of Martin Luther King this season. It resisted the temptation to focus too much on Dawn, the black secretary which I think was a smart move. The awkward hug she got from Joan said a lot about race relations at the time. I didn't expect Pete to be the one guy to see the tragedy of the event correctly. Good for him.

After taking things very slowly for the first few episodes of this season, everything happened all at once last night. It felt almost like a season finale. Wow.

The re-firing of Burt Peterson was easily the funniest scene so far this season.

I had only known the closing song from last night's episode as a sample for the Jam & Lewis song on the Mo Money soundtrack:

I just wonder if next sundays snow will deal with RFK or if they dont want to do another assassination episode. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

I have a feeling Betty hasn't been on the show in a few weeks so that the next time we see her, she's slim and blonde again. That's just a guess. Maybe a wish.
Sally was in the preview for this week's (May 19th) episode. Can't wait!! "She made me glad to be a man"

What a zany episode last night. But it was a fun and easy one to analyze. The whole working weekend for Don was obviously about finding a pitch for Sylvia, not Chevy. And the soup ad illustration was the clincher, the mole on the woman in the ad linked the prostitute who deflowered young Don, to Sylvia who also has a distinctive mole on her face. That's why Don was so obsessed with her and could not get past the breakup initially. Love it.

Loved it. The weird one each season is always the best.
Best scene EVA. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

That scene was pretty awesome.

What jarred me was when Sally, after encountering the clever thief Grandma Ida, told her dad that she didn't "know anything about him'', which reinforced the point that Don Draper is an enigma to everyone.

That shot everyone took seemed to be a combo of meth and LSD...priceless!

^I kept trying to figure out what they were on, cause it was way more than just speed. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

The written preview for this past Sunday's episode promised Joan going to the beach. She went to the beach alright--OFF CAMERA. What a letdown.

^IF January is given something besides being a icy queen, she can really bring it to a scene. I'm liking the Bob Benson character cause I cant figure out if hes a master manipulator or just a naive nice guy. I love Betty and Don singing with Bobby at breakfast (and boinking at night).
Bob Benson - I cannot figure that guy out. Does he have a crush on Pete? Does he have a crush on Joan? Why is he so nice to everyone? Something is up...
This episode made me feel sorry for Roger. And for Megan. And I don't like Megan. And I like Teddy but I thought he was cruel to Peggy.
Man, I LOVE this show!!!!! "She made me glad to be a man"

Definitely addicted to this show
I hope Bob is genuine lol...and I loved how it appeared that Abe and Peggy's ambulance was roarring by in the street below as Don and Megan had their moment out on the balcony...

I just hope Peggy is smart enough to keep that brownstone. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

Loved the music in last night's episode.
I felt the closing scene was the equivalent of Reverend Jim eating his first brownie in Taxi.
