and ugly where they only score 16 points a quarter and sometimes they can be

a well oiled machine and look good. The Spurs big 3 will have to have a great series

There is ALOT of things overrated about LeBron James and I wouldnt be so fast to trash the Spurs who are a better scoring team, veterans in the finals and have NEVER been beaten in the finals. Yea they might have gray hair and might be old but they are not to be played with. Ya boy dont know how to act when it comes to finals. He also childishly thinks that a 10 point lead means the game is over... Miami Heat 92 Indiana Pacers 99

After losing to Miami in an eventual blowout in game three, the Pacers needed to get back to basics in this game. And they did just that, outrebouding the Heat 49 to 30 and outscoring them in the paint 50 to 32. They were led by Roy Hibbert, who scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Lance Stephenson, who scored 20 points. In fact, both of them figured huge in the closing minutes for Indiana, as Hibbert scored two critical buckets and Stephenson hit the final score of the game. George Hill would add 19 points along with five rebounds ans six assists, and David West added 14 points and 12 rebounds. Lebron James led the Heat with 24 points but uncharacteristically fouled out of the game in the closing minutes. Mario Chalmers added 20 points while Dwayne Wade added 16 points in a losing effort. Ray Allen scored 11 points off the bench but shot a paltry 4 for 13 from the court.

Series tied at 2-2.

Oh please as though a lot players in the league don't flop. It's no different than a

punter in the NFL flopping when a special teams player rush in to block the kick. If you

can sell it to the ref and get a call more power to the player. The Spurs aren't a great scoring team. They only are a decent scoring team when they hit their threes. If they aren't hitting their 3's they look ugly, old, and stank. The Spurs really benefitted in this

series from the Grizzlies dumb ass mid season trade of Rudy Gay. I knew it was gonna

bite them in the ass. I'm just surprised it took this long to do so. All the Spurs trips to the Finals they only had to face one legitimate opponent the Detroit Pistons. Other years they played an undermanned Cavs squad and a New Jersey squad that was less talented and their first one came at the expense of a New York Knicks squad that played without an injured Pat Ewing. Not to take anything away from their titles but most of their opponents were less than formidable.

mjs, today LeBron James is the best basketball player on the planet. There is no real debate about that. As a scorer, rebounder, distributor and overall playmaker with a high basketball IQ, whenever he's on the floor, it feels like the Heat often play an 8-on-5 game.

I didn't like the frontrunning aspect of his game, but he's toned that down quite a bit. Because he doesn't have to prove himself as a winner anymore.


The Spurs are very capable of beating Miami in a Finals matchup . . . which is why that Finals would be appointment television.

Game 6

Miami Heat 77 Indiana Pacers 91

Miami looked to close out this series tonight, but they were already at a disadvantage when their reserve forward Chris "Birdman" Andersen was suspended for this game due to a shove on Tyler Hansbrough that was elevated to a level 2 flagrant foul after that game. In addition, both Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh have struggled in this series, and Shane Battier has been almost completely MIA, being dominated by David West and Roy Hibbert in the post. And tonight looked not to be any easier.

And for the most part it wasn't. Once again, Indiana dominated the boards and the paint, doubling their scoring output 44-22 and outrebounding them 53 to 33. However, Miami was able to hang around early thanks to rather torrid 3 point shooting in the first quarter from Lebron James, Mario Chalmers, and Norris Cole. The Heat even led by a point at the half.

But just as Miami exploded in the third quarter in the last game, the Pacers would explode in the thrid quarter of this game, expanding to a 17 point lead with just under a minute remaining in the quarter. They were led once again by Roy Hibbert, who scored 24 points in the game and grabbed 11 rebounds, and Paul George, who led the Pacers with 28 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Once again, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh struggled, as they scored a combined 15 points in the game, and the replacements for Chris Andersen (Shane Battier, Udonis Haslem, Joel Anthony) scored a combined two points.

But Miami would make one huge run to get back into the game, thanks to Lebron James, who scored 29 points while grabbing seven rebounds and six assists, and Mike Miller, who shot a couple of 3 pointers that eventually cut the Pacers lead down to four points. But the most critical play of the game came with 4:18 remaining in the fourth quater, when Lebron James was called for an offensive foul after elbowing Roy Hibbert in front of the the basket as he was driving in for a layup. Lebron then stormed across the court in disbelief, thus drawing a technical foul, and then one of the Heat's assistant coaches complained to the officials about that foul, thus drawing another technical foul. The Heat would not recover after that, and Indiana would expand their lead in the closing minutes to secure the victory. The series now goes to a decisive game seven in South Florida, and it now reamins to be seen whether Lebron James will once again have to carry his team to the NBA Finals or if this season ends in disappointment.

Series tied at 3-3.

The Heat is toast if Wade & Bosh continue to be missing in action. They are useless out there. They look like the Miami Cavaliers. Wade has to be more hurt than he's letting on, but what is Bosh's excuse? He's playing like a bitch.

The Spurs are a very good scoring team and they have a good bench as well. You might want to be more worried about Indiana beating Miami than about the Spurs.lol The Spurs are more than prepared to take out the Miami.

Gasol was forced to play the 5 with (stop me if this sounds familiar) an injured Bynum on the shelf, though Gasol was a 4. It hurt every part of his game. And Hibs is much better than Perkins ever was.

The Heat cannot win it all without production from Bosh.

Game 7

Indiana Pacers 76 Miami Heat 99

Coming into tonight's decisive game, the Heat were primarily being carried by Lebron James, as Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh struggled throughout this series. And if Miami had any chance of getting to the NBA Finals, one or both of them needed to step up in what was the biggest game of the season.

And they did just that. Dwyane Wade came to life in this contest, scoring 21 points and grabbing nine rebounds. Chris Bosh scored only nine points but was effective on the glass, grabbing eight rebounds, and on defense, where he blocked three shots and got two steals. In fact, Miami outrebounded the Pacers 43-36 and played some stifling defense. Roy Hibbert led the Pacers with 18 points but was held in check for much of the game and got into foul trouble. David West scored 14 points for Indiana while George Hill added 13, but Paul George got into early foul trouble and scored only seven points for the game. It was the foul troubles and turnovers by the Pacers which led Miami to explode in the second quarter and essentially cruise to victory. Lebron James led all scorers with 32 points. The Heat now look to defend their NBA title against the San Antonio Spurs this Thursday night when the NBA Finals begin.

Miami wins series 4-3.

I dont get the "Miami" hype machine. Yea they beat Indiana in the series but it wasnt a blow out. Miami blew Indiana out twice... JUST TWICE and the other games were VERY close games in the scores. Indiana even took Miami to a GAME 7 ( I have alot of respect for Indiana. They definitly did not give them the series that Miami barely won) Miami should have beat Indiana in game 6 if they were all of that. Indiana should have won the very first game and beat Miami.

Its okay... Im actually happy because I want to see the Spurs win another championship and spank Miami.

I gave your boys props. Im not hating They won the series and for their sake its good they did. Im just saying that Indiana took them to a game 7 and it wasnt an easy win for them (as far as the series) like the Miami hype machine is making it seem. If it was all easy they would have closed out last game but instead they were dog food last game. Your right, it is how you close out BUT they BARELY won Indiana ( a team that is no where near as stellar as the Spurs) in those games and Indiana had some really high moments, not a fan but just saying.
