Knicks were out-worked and out-hustled. Hibbert abused Chandler, and J.R. Smith continues to be MIA.

It doesn't matter whether you're the 80's Lakers, 90's Bulls, 00's Kings and Suns, or 10's Heat or OKC. Whatever thoroughbreds you have, if you don't rebound, muscle through and defend while keeping your poise, you won't win Sixteen.

Western Conference Playoffs, Conference Semifinals

Game 4

San Antonio Spurs 87 Golden State Warriors 97 F/OT

The Golden State Warriors were anxiously awaiting to see whether Stephen Curry could play this game or if his ankle was too sore for him to do so. Curry said his ankle was still bothering him, but he sucked it up an played anyway, thanks to a chat with his mother the night before in which she encouraged him to rely on his teammates. He then would go on to make his mother very proud on this Mother's Day, though it was rocky at the start. Warriors center Andrew Bogut picked up three quick fouls in the first six minutes of the game, and the Spurs took advantage, grabbing a pretty sizable lead through the first half.

But Golden State would claw its way back into the game. They were led by Harrison Barnes, who scored 26 points for the game while also grabbing 10 rebounds, and Jarrett Jack, who scored 24 points. Stephen Curry would end up with 22 points, six rebopunds, and four assists despite his bum ankle, and Andrew Bogut would return in the second half to grab 18 rebounds, but more importantly held Spurs forward Tim Duncan to just four points in the second half. Duncan finshed the game with 19 points, while Tony Parker scored 17 points on just six for 17 shooting due to a bruised calf. Klay Thompson tied the game for Golden State with 30 seconds remaining, but it was in the overtime period when the Warriors made their run. They held the Spurs to only one 3 point field goal in overtime while scoring 13 points themslves. The series now returns to San Antonio, but the Warriors now go in with confidence and momentum.

Series tied at 2-2.

Eastern Conference Playoffs, Conference Semifinals

Game 4

Miami Heat 88 Chicago Bulls 65

The Chicago Bulls were once again playing without Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich, but were determined to keep up the spirited effort they put up in game three. They opened the game with the first bucket of the contest.....and that was their biggest highlight of the night. Miami then scored the next 11 points and never looked back. The Bulls set a franchise playoff low for field goal attempts, shooting just under 26% for the game, including scoring a playoff low nine points in the third quarter. How awful was it for Chicago? Nate Robinson did not score a single point in this game, going 0 for 12 from the floor, while Marco Belinelli scored nine points but went 3 for 8 from the floor including missing all five of his three point attempts. Lebron James led the Heat with 27 points while Chris Bosh added 14 points, but this game could have been an even bigger blowout had it not been for some random miscues by Miami in the second half. Carlos Boozer led the Bulls with 14 points, and Richard "Rip" Hamilton finally made an appearance in the series, scoring 11 points off the bench. But overall the Bulls looked like a team that finally ran out of gas and had nothing left to move forward.

Miami leads series 3-1. sad rolleyes sigh

U don't want it! Trust me this is mild compared to what I have in store
for the Bad News Bears this season. lol
I'll give the Bulls credit for being well coached under the circumstances but
what a bunch of assholes. I do respect and enjoy watching D. Rose play.

Seriously the Bulls are going to have to learn how to play with composure. I'm a little surprised this is a conversation that's needed, this isn't their first time to the rodeo. I think Luol Deng and Kirk Hinrich leadership was sorely missed. As far as Derrick Rose I really don't have anything to say about his punk ass.

Yeah and someone tell Nate Robinson to calm his ass down too. I actually almost single-handledly blame him for the Game 2 loss. And I see he didn't do much in Game 3 or 4. I wonder if Chi-Town fans booed the Bulls when they know the Heat was gonna win. They had to, right?

The Bulls have taken A LOT of heat and deservedly so for not staying cool under pressure. That shit was embarrassing and sadly no one on the Bulls could stand up and slap the shit out of them and tell them to pull it together. Not even gimpy... that's very telling to in my opinion. This should be a long summer for those players...

There's far more to this story believe me, it goes beyond protecting a franchise player... its a player who stopped rehab to start talkin' some mumbo jumbo bullshit about getting a sign when he should play. Give me a fuckin' break. There had been a time table for Mr. Rose to return and he had been medically cleared to take the next step... playing on the knee which is apart of rehab process. Unfortunately, there are no guarantees in sports, he'll have to play on the knee at some-point and there's no guarantee it won't blow out. The whole damn team appears when push come to shove to have spines of jelly. Franchise player? He's important part of the puzzle but as we've seen if the Bulls had the services of Deng and Hinrich the Heat series may have been up for grabs.

Actually I'm more worried about them being able to resign Loul?

^ This. If he had spent more time in rehab, no one would be criticizing his decision to show up at games talking about "I might play..." It's a little childish.

All year long, the talk from the Knicks has been about getting a shot at Miami in the conference finals. Unless a miracle happens, this season will be a huge disappointment and failure, IMO. Those clowns embarrassed themselves - losing 54-36 on the boards, can't hit a fucking wide-open shot, confusion on defense.....WTF?????

Even if they win Game 5, this series is OVA.

Counting the days until Giants training camp......

Eastern Conference Playoffs, Conference Semifinals

Game 5

Chicago Bulls 91 Miami Heat 94

The Miami Heat took a commanding 3-1 lead into tonight's contest and were looking to close out this series, and early on it looked like much like game four, as the Heat led by as much as 18 points. But the Bulls refused to roll over and die, and they stormed their way back into the game with a lot of heart, grit, determination, and composure. They were led by Carlos Boozer, who scored 15 points in the first half and 26 points for the game along with grabbing 14 rebounds, and Nate Robinson, who broke out of his shooting slump and scored 21 points for the game, including making four of seven 3 point attempts. Jimmy Butler added 19 points for Chicago and Rip Hamilton scored 15 points off the bench. The Bulls took a six point lead at the half and led by as much as 11 in the third quarter.

But heart and will would not be enough for the Bulls to win this game, and Miami would make its run in the fourth quarter, thanks to some stifling defense and their bench production. Their run would be sparked by Shane Battier, who made a couple of critical 3 point shots, and Norris Cole, who made a couple of clutch shots off the bench. But in the end it was Dwyane Wade, playing on a bum knee, that would seal the deal, scoring six points and making key rebounds down the stretch, putting Miami up for good. Wade would score 18 points for the game while Lebron James led the Heat with 23 points.

But the Bulls still had a chance to tie the game and send it to overtime, but both Nate Robinson and Jimmy Butler would miss their 3 point attempts in the closing seconds, and time would run out on the Bulls' in this game and the season. Miami now heads to the Eastern Conference Finals and awaits the winner of the Knicks/Pacers series.

Miami wins series 4-1. sad bawl wall fit pout sigh disbelief
