Man arrested in ricin attacks is a Prince impersonator

Don’t Trust an Elvis Impersonator Who Also Does Bon Jovi, Prince

Paul Kevin Curtis, the man arrested by the FBIlast night in connection with the ricin-laced letters sent to President Obama and Mississippi senator Roger Wicker, has quite the colorful past, as well as a prolific Internet trail that reveals some warning signs. In addition to an intense obsession with conspiratorial organ harvesting and his signature sign-off, "I am KC and I approve this message," used both online and in the poison letters, Curtis was a practiced Elvis impersonator who also performed as dozens of other musicians. In fact, Senator Wicker knew his talents well.

"Senator Wicker tells reporters he had met the Elvis impersonator — and suspect — before. He hired him for a party once," reports ABC's Jeff Zeleny. Wicker called Curtis "very entertaining."

According to the Clarion-Ledger, Curtis does "impersonations of '70 of the biggest names in music history,' including Elvis, Johnny Cash, Prince, Bon Jovi and Kenny Chesney," which makes us wonder how good he could really be at any of them, despite his documented talents:

Curtis has a three-octave range and is a seven-time World Finalist in Images of the King, an impersonation contest in Memphis. GigSalad.com also says Curtis holds a Guiness World Record “for creating the 1st brother Duo Tribute to Elvis Act in 2002.”

I hired a Kenny Chesney impersonator once.
Not that I couldn't afford the real Kenny Chesney. It was just that I didn't think he was worth the price that he was askin' for.
