For the millionth time, influenza is a respiratory illness - not a gastrointestinal thing. Whatever vomiting/diarrhea sickness he had was absolutely, positively not influenza.

It was. shrug I never even heard of this flu stuff until this thread. It was reported back then, at least on the TV I was watching, that he was playing with food poisoning. And then he appeared on (a now defunct late night tv show...Keenen Ivory Wayans' I believe) where MJ discussed it an an interview.

Crazy game, and an amazing performance, but I always wondered just a little bit if he was playing rope a dope with them.

I'm not saying it was not deliberate, either. If they knew who the pizza was for I can see some idiots doing something evil like that

Pro teams have a policy regarding ordered food when on the road.
