RIP Pat Summerall

Pat Summerall, the long-time, legendary NFL broadcaster and former NFL player, has died. He was 82.

Pat Summerall was considered by many sports fans as the voice of the NFL. He did play-by-play in 16 Super Bowl telecasts, first with color commentator Tom Brookshier and later with former Oakland Raiders coach John Madden. The latter duo were considered to be the penultimate broadcast team in all of sports, let alone football.

Awww...he and John Madden will always be my favorite NFL broadcasting team.

It is said that Madden really helped him through some difficulties in his personal life several years ago.

Condolences to his loved ones.

Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.
